Summary: | Objective: to report an action developed by a multidisciplinary health team from a Federal Institute regarding the continuing education offered to outsourced workers who work in cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in the institution's health sector. Methodology: Descriptive, qualitative, experience report type. For the training planning, the Arco de Maguerez strategy was used. The implementation of the action was permeated by an expository class, a conversation circle and a practical class. Results: 14 outsourced employees participated, the training was configured as an important biosafety tool, promoting autonomy in professional performance and reorienting the work process. Conclusion: Health residues have great potential for the proliferation of diseases when improperly managed, which may pose risks to workers and collaborators who work in health services. Promoting continuing education on health waste management supports the reduction of possible environmental and social impacts resulting from its incorrect handling. |

Metodología: descriptivo, cualitativo, tipo de informe de experiencia. Para la planificación del entrenamiento, se utilizó la estrategia Arco de Maguerez. La implementación de la acción estuvo impregnada por una clase expositiva, un círculo de conversación y una clase práctica. Resultados: participaron 14 empleados subcontratados, la capacitación se convirtió en una importante herramienta de bioseguridad que promueve la autonomía en el desempeño profesional y la reorientación del proceso de trabajo. Conclusión: los residuos de salud tienen un gran potencial para la proliferación de enfermedades cuando se manejan de manera inadecuada, lo que puede presentar riesgos para los trabajadores y colaboradores que trabajan en los servicios de salud. La promoción de la educación continua sobre la gestión de residuos sanitarios respalda la reducción de los posibles impactos ambientales y sociales derivados de su manejo incorrecto.Objetivo: relatar ação desenvolvida por equipe multiprofissional de saúde de um Instituto Federal quanto à educação continuada ofertada aos terceirizados que atuam na limpeza e desinfecção de superfícies do setor de saúde da instituição. Método e materiais: Trabalho descritivo, qualitativo, do tipo relato de experiência. Para o planejamento do treinamento foi utilizado a estratégia do Arco de Maguerez. A implementação da ação foi permeada por aula expositiva, roda de conversa e aula prática. Resultado: Participaram 14 colaboradores terceirizados, o treinamento se configurou em uma importante ferramenta de biossegurança fomentando a autonomia no desempenho profissional e a reorientação do processo de trabalho. Considerações finais: Os resíduos de saúde possuem grande potencial para proliferação de doenças quando gerenciados inadequadamente podendo acarretar riscos aos trabalhadores e colaboradores que atuam em serviços de saúde.
