Brazilian Norms and the recommendation of energy efficiency for the preparation of the sewage pumping station project

Resumo: | Analysis of the energy efficiency guidelines contained in the Brazilian norms used in the sanitary sewage pumping station (EEE) project. The research was developed in three stages. Initially, a bibliographic review was carried out, with an analytical character, of the design and component parts of EEE. In step II, the standards of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) related to the sanitary sewage system were identified, verifying the items with orientation of energy efficiency for the EEE project. In the last stage, the guidelines of sanitation companies for the elaboration of EEE projects were analyzed. It was found that the energy efficiency information is deficient in the 12 analyzed standards. Documents from sanitation companies were also identified to guide the preparation of EEE projects. With the research, it was found that designers need to evaluate the increase in the sewage detention time in the humid well, the installation of hydraulic and electrical parameters meters and the dimensioning of the EEE motor and pump assemblies, observing the peak hours established by the electricity sector. Among others. Thus, it is opportune to review and update NBR12208/1992 “Sanitary sewage pumping stations project-Procedure” and complementary norms, to provide recommendations that meet the technological evolution with the consideration of energy efficiency still in the design stage of the EEE. |

En el paso II, se identificaron los estándares de la Asociación Brasileña de Estándares Técnicos (ABNT) relacionados con el sistema de alcantarillado sanitario, verificando los elementos con orientación de eficiencia energética para el proyecto EEE. En la última etapa, se analizaron las pautas de las empresas de saneamiento para la elaboración de proyectos de EEE. Se encontró que la información de eficiencia energética es deficiente en los 12 estándares analizados. También se identificaron documentos de empresas de saneamiento para guiar la preparación de proyectos de EEE. Con la investigación, se descubrió que los diseñadores deben evaluar el aumento del tiempo de retención de aguas residuales en el pozo húmedo, la instalación de medidores de parámetros hidráulicos y eléctricos y el dimensionamiento de los conjuntos de motor y bomba EEE, observando las horas pico establecidas por el sector eléctrico. , entre otros. Por lo tanto, es oportuno revisar y actualizar NBR12208/1992 "Procedimiento-proyecto de estaciones de bombeo de aguas residuales sanitarias" y normas complementarias, para proporcionar recomendaciones que cumplan con la evolución tecnológica con la consideración de la eficiencia energética aún en la etapa de diseño de la EEE.Análise das orientações de eficiência energética constantes das normas brasileiras utilizadas em projetos de estações elevatórias de esgoto sanitário (EEE). A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em três etapas. Inicialmente foi realizada revisão bibliográfica, com caráter analítico, da concepção e das partes componentes de EEE. Na etapa II foram identificadas as normas da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) relacionadas ao sistema de esgotamento sanitário, verificando os itens com orientação de eficiência energética para o projeto da EEE. Na última etapa foram analisadas as orientações de companhias de saneamento para a elaboração de projetos de EEE. Foi constatado que as informações de eficiência energética são deficientes nas 12 normas analisadas. Também foram identificados documentos de companhias de saneamento para orientar a elaboração dos projetos de EEE. Com a pesquisa foi constatada a necessidade dos projetistas avaliarem o aumento do tempo de detenção do esgoto no poço úmido, a instalação de medidores de parâmetros hidráulicos e elétricos e o dimensionamento dos conjuntos motor e bomba da EEE, observando o horário de ponta estabelecido pelo setor elétrico, entre outros. Assim, é oportuna a revisão e a atualização da NBR12208/1992 “Projeto de estações elevatórias de esgoto sanitário-Procedimento” e das normas complementares, para disponibilizar recomendações que atendam à evolução tecnológica com a consideração da eficiência energética ainda na etapa de projeto da EEE.
