Relationship between eating habits and triggering factors of migraine crises

Resumo: | This article aimed to analyze, through an integrative review, the relationship between eating habits and the triggers of migraine attacks. We searched for articles published in the last five years in national and international journals in the following electronic databases: SCIELO, Pubmed and LILACS, using the following descriptors: migraine, diet and triggering factors. The search resulted in 38 articles, of which seven were selected, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, for analysis, interpretation and discussion. Of these studies, the quantitative research method observed was the observational cross-sectional design. It was observed that in the studies analyzed described, a large part of the increase in the incidence of migraine in people is basically related to the poor quality of their eating habits and lifestyle. It is understood that there is a relationship between eating habits and migraine attacks. However, it is necessary to have a qualified professional to carry out a nutritional assessment, aiming to balance the nutritional status before the individualities of each carrier. |

Se buscaron artículos publicados en los últimos cinco años en revistas nacionales e internacionales en las siguientes bases de datos electrónicas: SCIELO, Pubmed y LILACS, utilizando los siguientes descriptores: migraña, dieta y factores desencadenantes. La búsqueda resultó en 38 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron siete, luego de aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, para su análisis, interpretación y discusión. De estos estudios, el método de investigación cuantitativa observado fue el diseño observacional transversal. Se observó que en los estudios analizados descritos, gran parte del aumento de la incidencia de migraña en las personas se relaciona básicamente con la mala calidad de sus hábitos alimentarios y estilo de vida. Se entiende que existe una relación entre los hábitos alimentarios y los ataques de migraña. Sin embargo, es necesario contar con un profesional cualificado para realizar una valoración nutricional, con el objetivo de equilibrar el estado nutricional ante las individualidades de cada portador.O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar, por meio de revisão integrativa, a relação entre os hábitos alimentares e os fatores desencadeantes das crises de enxaqueca. Buscou-se artigos publicados nos últimos cinco anos em periódicos nacionais e internacionais nas seguintes bases de dados eletrônicos: SCIELO, Pubmed e LILACS, utilizando os seguintes descritores: enxaqueca, dieta e fatores desencadeantes. A busca resultou em 38 artigos, dos quais selecionou-se sete, após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, para análise, interpretação e discussão. Desses estudos, o método quantitativo de pesquisa observado foi o de delineamento transversal observacional. Observou-se que nos estudos analisados descritos, grande parte do aumento das incidências de enxaqueca nas pessoas está relacionada basicamente pela má qualidade dos hábitos alimentares e estilo de vida dos mesmos. Entende-se que há relação entre os hábitos alimentares e as crises de enxaqueca.
