Hydrochloric acid (HCl) in the stomach: proposing a simple and low-cost practical class for the simulation of physiological aspects of digestion in the discipline of Biology

Resumo: Nowadays, more than ever, the teacher is constantly challenged in educating students using, in addition to theoretical classes, the proposal and execution of practical classes. Thus, in the discipline of Biology, experimental classes are of great importance in the teaching and learning process, as they allow to apply in practice what has been learned in theoretical classes, and instigate the perspective of scientific experimentation, facilitating the learning of students. In this sense, using simple and low-cost materials, the main objective of this article is to propose an experimental class in order to facilitate the learning of students in the discipline of Biology in High School, regarding the mechanism of protein digestion Human stomach physiology, in addition to aspects related to the protection of the gastric mucosa in the presence of hydrochloric acid (HCl). Thus, with the realization of this experimental class, we believe that students can contextualize the learning of the proposed theme in a more effective way, in addition to making scientific experimentation more present within the school environment.

Así, en la disciplina de la Biología, las clases experimentales son de gran importancia en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje, ya que permiten aplicar en la práctica lo aprendido en las clases teóricas, e instigar la perspectiva de la experimentación científica, facilitando el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. En este sentido, utilizando materiales sencillos y de bajo costo, el objetivo principal de este artículo es proponer una clase experimental con el fin de facilitar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la disciplina de Biología en la Escuela Secundaria, en lo que respecta al mecanismo de digestión de proteínas en Fisiología del estómago humano, además de aspectos relacionados con la protección de la mucosa gástrica en presencia de ácido clorhídrico (HCl). Así, con la realización de esta clase experimental, creemos que los alumnos pueden contextualizar el aprendizaje de la temática propuesta de una forma más eficaz, además de hacer más presente la experimentación científica dentro del ámbito escolar.Na atualidade, mais do que nunca, o professor é constantemente desafiado em educar os alunos utilizando além das aulas teóricas a proposta e execução de aulas práticas. Dessa forma, na disciplina de Biologia, as aulas experimentais são de grande importância no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, pois permitem aplicar na prática o que foi aprendido nas aulas teóricas, e instigam a ótica da experimentação científica facilitando o aprendizado dos discentes. Nesse sentido, utilizando materiais simples e de baixo custo, o principal objetivo desse artigo é a proposta de uma aula experimental com o intuito de facilitar a aprendizagem dos alunos na disciplina de Biologia no Ensino Médio, no que tange ao mecanismo de digestão de proteínas na Fisiologia do estômago Humano, além de aspectos relacionados a proteção da mucosa gástrica na presença do ácido clorídrico (HCl).
