Narratives about the Apprentice Schools in Brazil: a brief historical review

Resumo: It analyzes works of the History of Professional Education in Brazil, with emphasis on those that deal with Apprentice Schools created in the capitals of Brazilian states in 1909. It seeks to understand the lines of interpretation prevailing in this field of historiography, ranging from classic works by Fernando de Azevedo, A Cultura Brasileira, 1950, and História do Ensino Industrial no Brasil, launched in 1961 by engineer Celso S. da Fonseca, until the recent dissertations and theses presented in several graduate courses in Brazil. It observes the diversity of the field of History of Professional Education in Brazil, considering the profile of those who write this History and the different possible lines of interpretation. It concludes that the field of History of Professional Education in Brazil follows the paradigm changes experienced by Historiography, with emphasis on the end of the great narratives and the adoption of new themes and approaches, such as the discussions about power relations and uses of spaces, based on Foucauldian concepts.

Busca comprender las líneas de interpretación predominantes en este campo de la historiografía, que van desde obras clásicas de Fernando de Azevedo, A Cultura Brasileira, 1950, e História da Educação Industrial no Brasil, lanzada en 1961 por el ingeniero Celso S. da Fonseca, hasta las recientes disertaciones y tesis presentadas en varios programas de posgrado en Brasil. Observa la diversidad del campo de la Historia de la Educación Profesional en Brasil, considerando el perfil de quienes escriben esta Historia y las diferentes líneas posibles de interpretación. Se concluye que el campo de la Historia de la Educación Profesional en Brasil sigue los cambios de paradigma vividos por la Historiografía, con énfasis en el fin de las grandes narrativas y la adopción de nuevos temas y enfoques, como las discusiones sobre relaciones de poder y usos de los espacios, basados ​​en conceptos foucaultianos.Analisa obras da História da Educação profissional no Brasil, com destaque para aquelas que tratam das Escolas de Aprendizes criadas nas capitais dos estados brasileiros no ano de 1909. Procura compreender as linhas de interpretação predominantes nesse campo da historiografia, indo desde as clássica obras de Fernando de Azevedo, A Cultura Brasileira, de 1950, e História do Ensino Industrial no Brasil, lançada em 1961 pelo engenheiro Celso S. da Fonseca, até as recentes dissertações e teses apresentadas em diversos programas de pós-graduação no Brasil. Observa a diversidade do campo da História da Educação profissional no Brasil, considerando o perfil daqueles que escrevem essa História e as diferentes linhas de interpretação possíveis.
