Non-governmental organizations as the link between university and company: the case about the arrastart project

Resumo: This article explore as partnership between an NGO and a private company can help boost social entrepreneurship, based on the use of digital technologies, in mass universities, focused on teaching low-income youth. It is justified by the worldwide movements related to the creation of startups within Brazilian universities, and the relevance of these for the generation of revenues, since practices that serve young people from the periphery. The theoretical contribution of this article is to assist the understanding of how the leverage process of startups in university environments takes place with the support of NGOs. Regarding the methodological aspects, an exploratory research, of a qualitative and descriptive nature, was carried out through a case study using documentary analysis, participant observation, interviews with NGO teachers and managers, based on semi-structured scripts, and a focus group with some students benefited by the program. The results revealed that the lack of transparency in the transmission of information, as well as the different understandings about the objectives to be achieved with the project, constitute barriers that must be considered in the initial phase of the project, given the possibility of its results having the opposite effect than expected.

Está justificado por los movimientos mundiales relacionados con la creación de nuevas empresas dentro de las universidades brasileñas, y la relevancia de estos para la generación de ingresos, ya que las prácticas que sirven a los jóvenes de la periferia. La contribución teórica de este artículo es ayudar a comprender cómo se lleva a cabo el proceso de apalancamiento de nuevas empresas en entornos universitarios con el apoyo de las ONG. Con respecto a los aspectos metodológicos, se llevó a cabo una investigación exploratoria, de naturaleza cualitativa y descriptiva, a través de un estudio de caso utilizando análisis documental, observación participante, entrevistas con maestros y gerentes de ONG, basados en guiones semiestructurados y un grupo focal con algunos estudiantes beneficiados por el programa. Los resultados revelaron que la falta de transparencia en la transmisión de información, así como los diferentes entendimientos sobre los objetivos a alcanzar con el proyecto, constituyen barreras que deben considerarse en la fase inicial del proyecto, dada la posibilidad de sus resultados. teniendo el efecto contrario al esperado.O objetivo deste artigo é explorar como uma parceria entre uma ONG e uma empresa do setor privado pode ajudar a impulsionar o empreendedorismo social, com base na utilização de tecnologias digitais, em universidades de massa, voltadas para o ensino de jovens de baixa renda. Justifica-se a partir dos movimentos mundiais relacionados a criação de startups dentro de universidades brasileiras, e a relevância destas para a geração de receitas, já que práticas que atendem jovens de periferia voltadas à sua realidade social, ainda são escassas.  A contribuição teórica deste artigo está em coadjuvar o entendimento de como se dá o processo de alavancagem de startups em ambientes universitários com o apoio de ONGs. No que tange os aspectos metodológicos, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória, de natureza qualitativa e descritiva, por meio de um estudo de caso utilizando-se de análise documental, observação participante, entrevistas com professores e gestores da ONG, baseadas em roteiros semiestruturados, e um grupo focal com alguns universitários beneficiados pelo programa.
