Chemical agents in the production of high quality seedlings of Schizolobium amazonicum

Resumo: The objective was to evaluate the growth and quality of Schizolobium amazonicum seedlings (Huber ex Ducke) under pre-germinative seed treatment and foliar application of chemical agents during formation. The experiment was carried out in the seed analysis laboratory and vegetation house at the Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul/Unidade Universitária de Cassilândia -MS. A completely randomized design was used, in a 2x3 factorial scheme, consisting of two pre-germinative treatments for seed hydration (ST1 - water and ST2 - 0.2% calcium nitrate) and three chemical agents supplied via leaf (FT1 - control without treatment, FT2 - Biostimulant composed of 0.1% gibberellin + 0.2% auxin + 0.2% calcium nitrate and FT3 - mixture containing 0.01% paclobutrazol + 0.2% urea) with 10 replicates per treatment and 6 plants per repetition. At 45 days the first measurements were made and the final evaluation was made at 60 days (planting period of seedlings in the field). The treatment of seeds with calcium nitrate produced seedlings with similar quality to seedlings originated from seeds that were hydrated only with water. The use of paclobutrazol and nitrogen in foliar application resulted in seedlings of high quality of Schizolobium amazonicum.

El experimento se llevó a cabo en el laboratorio de análisis de semillas y en el casa de vegetación en la Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul/Unidade Universitária de Cassilândia -MS. Se usó un diseño completamente al azar, en un esquema factorial 2x3, que consta de dos tratamientos pregerminativos para la hidratación de semillas (TS1 - agua y TS2 - 0.2% de nitrato de calcio) y tres agentes químicos suministrados a través de la hoja (TF1 - control sin tratamiento, TF2 - Bioestimulante compuesto por 0.1% de giberelina + 0.2% de auxina + 0.2% de nitrato de calcio y TF3 - mezcla que contiene 0.01% de paclobutrazol + 0.2% de urea) con 10 repeticiones por tratamiento y 6 plantas por repetición. A los 45 días se realizaron las primeras mediciones y la evaluación final se realizó a los 60 días (período de siembra de plántulas en el campo). El tratamiento de semillas con nitrato de calcio produjo plántulas de calidad similar a las plántulas originadas a partir de semillas que fueron hidratadas solo con agua. El uso de paclobutrazol y nitrógeno en la aplicación foliar dio como resultado plántulas de alta calidad de Schizolobium amazonicum.Objetivou-se avaliar o crescimento e qualidade de mudas de Schizolobium amazonicum (Huber ex Ducke) sob tratamento pré-germinativo de semente e aplicação foliar de agentes químicos durante a formação. O experimento foi realizado realizados no laboratório de análises de sementes e casa de vegetação da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul/Unidade Universitária de Cassilândia-MS. Utilizou-se o delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 2x3, sendo constituído por dois tratamentos pré-germinativos por hidratação das sementes (TS1 – água e TS2 – nitrato de cálcio 0,2%) e três agentes químicos fornecidos via foliar (TF1 – testemunha sem tratamento, TF2 – Bioestimulante composto por giberelina 0,1% + auxina 0,2% + nitrato de cálcio 0,2% e TF3 – mistura contendo paclobutrazol 0,01% + uréia 0,2%) com 10 repetições por tratamento e 6 plantas por repetição. Aos 45 dias foi realizada as primeiras medições e a avaliação final foi realizada aos 60 dias (período de plantio das mudas no campo).  O tratamento de sementes com nitrato de cálcio produziu mudas com qualidade semelhante as mudas originadas de sementes que foram hidratadas somente com água.
