The martial arts between sport and education: an analysis from Taekwondo

Resumo: Martial arts are bodily practices that tend not only to highlight but also to exalt prerogatives that transcend the sporting dimension. In other words, many of the fighting modalities carry a lifestyle that goes far beyond the competitive aspect. Objective: having said that, this research aimed to analyze the conjugation between the formative-educational and sports dimension of the fighting modalities, using Taekwondo as a paradigmatic case. Methods: for this research, it was used as empirical laboratory our analysis, web pages training spaces Taekwondo of southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná). In analytical terms, the investigated sites were analyzed according to the content analysis proposed by Bardin. Results: after collecting and categorizing the data, it was found that the offer spaces of the modality seek to emphasize the formative potential of Taekwondo on their web pages. Conclusion: in other words, there is clearly an effort by agents to emphasize the philosophy underlying the sport, which has benefits beyond the sports field.

En otras palabras, muchas de las modalidades de lucha llevan un estilo de vida que va mucho más allá del aspecto competitivo. Objetivo: dicho esto, este estúdio tuvo como objetivo analizar la conjugación entre la dimensión formativo-educativa y deportiva de las modalidades de lucha, utilizando el Taekwondo como caso paradigmático. Metodología: para llevar a cabo esta investigación, se utilizaron las páginas web de los espacios de formación de Taekwondo en el sur de Brasil (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina y Paraná) como laboratorio empírico para nuestros análisis. En términos analíticos, los sitios investigados fueron analizados según el análisis de contenido propuesto por Bardin. Resultados: después de recoger y clasificar los datos, se encontró que los espacios de la oferta de la modalidad buscan hacer hincapié en el potencial formativo de Taekwondo en sus páginas web. Conclusión: en otras palabras, es evidente que los agentes se esfuerzan por enfatizar la filosofía subyacente al deporte, que tiene beneficios más allá del campo deportivo.As artes marciais são práticas motrizes que tendem não só evidenciar como também exaltar prerrogativas que transcendem a dimensão esportiva. Em outras palavras, muitas das modalidades de lutas carregam consigo um estilo de vida que vai muito além do aspecto competitivo. Objetivo: dito isso, essa pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a conjugação entre a dimensão formativa-educacional e esportiva das modalidades de luta, utilizando como caso paradigmático o Taekwondo. Metodologia: para a realização desta pesquisa, foi utilizado como laboratório empírico de nossas análises, páginas da web de espaços de treinamento de Taekwondo da região sul do Brasil (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina e Paraná). Em termos analíticos, os sites investigados foram analisados de acordo com a análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin. Resultados: após o levantamento e categorização dos dados, verificou-se que os espaços de oferta da modalidade procuram enfatizar em suas páginas na web as potencialidades formativas do Taekwondo.
