Factors that determine the occurrence of stress in nursing professionals

Resumo: The objective of this study is to understand the determinant factors for the occurrence of Burnout Syndrome in Nursing Professionals. An integrative literature review was carried out and searched in the LILACS, BDENF and SCIELO databases of articles published from January 2015 to December 2022, and the data were systematized using the Content Analysis technique. In total, 14 articles were found that met the inclusion criteria of this study. Thus, it was identified that the main determining factors for the occurrence of Burnout Syndrome among professionals are organizational, individual, work and social. Due to several factors, it can be seen as: constant and periodic exhaustion, the demands of the sectors in which the nursing professional works, the double workload in search of a better salary, social isolation due to fatigue, misunderstandings in the work environment, the lack of tolerance for errors, among other aspects, which causes the nursing professional to enter a state of total stress and, therefore, acquire Burnout syndrome.

Se realizó una revisión integradora de la literatura y se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos LILACS, BDENF y SCIELO de artículos publicados desde enero de 2015 hasta diciembre de 2022, y los datos fueron sistematizados mediante la técnica de Análisis de Contenido. En total, se encontraron 14 artículos que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión de este estudio. Así, se identificó que los principales factores determinantes para la ocurrencia del Síndrome de Burnout entre los profesionales son organizacionales, individuales, laborales y sociales. Debido a varios factores, se puede ver como: el agotamiento constante y periódico, las exigencias de los sectores en los que se desempeña el profesional de enfermería, la doble carga de trabajo en busca de un mejor salario, el aislamiento social por fatiga, las incomprensiones en el ambiente de trabajo, la falta de tolerancia a los errores, entre otros aspectos, lo que provoca que el profesional de enfermería entre en un estado de estrés total y, por lo tanto, adquiere el síndrome de Burnout.O estudo objetiva-se conhecer os fatores determinantes à ocorrência da Síndrome do Esgotamento em Profissionais de Enfermagem. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa de literatura que teve suas buscas nas bases de dados LILACS, BDENF e SCIELO de artigos publicados de janeiro de 2015 a dezembro de 2022, realizou-se a sistematização dos dados pela técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. No total foram encontrados 14 artigos de atenderam aos critérios de inclusão deste trabalho. Desta forma, foram identificados que os principais fatores determinantes para a ocorrência da Síndrome de Burnout entre os profissionais, são os organizacionais, individuais, laborais e sociais.
