The institutionalization of corporate social responsibility practices in automotive concessionaire

Resumo: The behavior of organizations is associated with a set of rules and norms present in the exchange processes between them and the environment. The institutionalization of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices is currently advancing. With this, this study aims to verify which isomorphic mechanisms are present in the institutionalization of CSR practices. For this purpose, descriptive research, field study and quantitative approach were used. As a data collection instrument, a five-point Likert scale questionnaire sent by e-mail was used. The population studied is the automotive dealers of Rio Grande do Sul, and the sample consists of 24 companies, which answered the instrument. The findings indicate that for the economic and legal dimensions, the institutionalization of CSR practices according to the managers' perception is from strong to very strong and for the ethical dimension, the intensity of CSR practices is medium to strong. The perceived by employees, indicates strong to very strong intensity in CSR practices for the economic dimension and medium to strong intensity for the legal and ethical dimensions. For managers, the isomorphism that most interferes with CSR practices is coercive with medium to strong intensity and the least that interferes is mimetic with strong presence intensity. The perception of employees indicates that the coercive, mimetic and normative isomorphic mechanisms have a similar participation in the institutionalization of CSR practices, with medium to strong intensity.

La institucionalización de las prácticas de responsabilidad social corporativa (RSE) está avanzando actualmente. Con esto, este estudio tiene como objetivo verificar qué mecanismos isomórficos están presentes en la institucionalización de las prácticas de RSE. Para este propósito, se utilizó investigación descriptiva, estudio de campo y enfoque cuantitativo. Como instrumento de recolección de datos, se utilizó un cuestionario de escala Likert de cinco puntos enviado por correo electrónico. La población estudiada son los concesionarios automotrices de Rio Grande do Sul, y la muestra consta de 24 empresas, que respondieron al instrumento. Los resultados indican que, para las dimensiones económicas y legales, la institucionalización de las prácticas de RSE de acuerdo con la percepción de los gerentes es de fuerte a muy fuerte y para la dimensión ética, la intensidad de las prácticas de RSE es de mediana a fuerte. Lo percibido por los empleados indica una intensidad de fuerte a muy fuerte en las prácticas de RSE para la dimensión económica y de intensidad media a fuerte para las dimensiones legales y éticas. Para los gerentes, el isomorfismo que más interfiere con las prácticas de RSE es coercitivo con intensidad media a fuerte y lo menos que interfiere es mimético con intensidad de presencia fuerte. La percepción de los empleados indica que los mecanismos isomórficos coercitivos, miméticos y normativos tienen una participación similar en la institucionalización de las prácticas de RSE, con intensidad media a fuerte.O comportamento das organizações está associado a um conjunto de regras e normas presentes nos processos de troca entre elas e o ambiente. Com isso, este estudo objetiva verificar quais os mecanismos isomórficos presentes na institucionalização das práticas de RSC. Para tanto, utilizou-se da pesquisa descritiva, estudo de campo e abordagem quantitativa. Como instrumento de coleta dos dados foi feito uso do questionário com escala Likert de cinco pontos enviado por e-mail. A população estudada são as concessionárias automotivas do Rio Grande do Sul, sendo que a amostra se constitui em 24 empresas, que responderam o instrumento. Os achados indicam que para as dimensões econômica e legal a institucionalização das práticas de RSC de acordo com a percepção dos gestores é de intensidade forte a fortíssima e para a dimensão ética a intensidade das práticas de RSC é de média a forte. O percebido pelos colaboradores indica intensidade forte a fortíssima nas práticas de RSC para a dimensão econômica e intensidade média a forte para as dimensões legal e ética. Para os gestores o isomorfismo que mais interfere nas práticas de RSC é o coercitivo com intensidade média a forte e o que menos interfere é o mimético com intensidade de presença forte.
