Resumo: | The objective of the work was to assess the knowledge of nursing students regarding borderline Personality Disorder. This study was conducted through an online survey provided by the "Google Forms" platform to students from a private University Center in Curitiba. Twenty-seven nursing students from the 7th semester and above participated during the month of October 2023. As a result, it was observed that the majority of interviewed students reported being familiar with borderline Personality Disorder and claimed to have had or currently have subjects related to mental health. Regarding the causes, consequences, and manifestations of the disorder, most were unable to respond specifically and could not probe or detail their answers more precisely. We can conclude that borderline Personality Disorder is present, but students' knowledge about it is not yet adequately satisfactory. Therefore, there is a need to deepen the topic in classrooms, academic internships, expanding scientific knowledge, and promoting the improvement and training of professionals in the field. This way, students can become capable of welcoming and dealing with the social, pathological, environmental, and contextual conditions in which their patients are immersed. |

Este estudio se llevó a cabo a través de una encuesta en línea proporcionada por la plataforma "Google Forms" a estudiantes de un Centro Universitario privado en Curitiba. Participaron 27 estudiantes de enfermería a partir del séptimo período, durante el mes de octubre de 2023. Como resultado, se observó que la mayoría de los estudiantes entrevistados afirmaron conocer el trastorno de personalidad límite y dijeron haber tenido o estar teniendo materias relacionadas con la salud mental. En cuanto a las causas, consecuencias y manifestaciones del trastorno, la mayoría no pudo responder de manera puntual, además de no poder sondear o detallar más precisamente sus respuestas. Podemos concluir que el trastorno de personalidad límite está presente, pero los conocimientos de los estudiantes al respecto aún no son adecuadamente satisfactorios. Por lo tanto, se observa la necesidad de profundizar en el tema en las aulas y en las prácticas académicas, ampliando el conocimiento científico y promoviendo la mejora y capacitación de los profesionales en el área. De esta manera, los estudiantes podrán estar preparados para acoger y enfrentar la condición social, patológica, ambiental y el entorno en el que se encuentra su paciente.O objetivo do trabalho consistiu em avaliar o conhecimento dos estudantes de enfermagem referente ao transtorno de personalidade borderline. Este estudo foi realizado através de uma pesquisa online disponibilizada pela plataforma “Google Forms”, aos estudantes de um Centro Universitário particular de Curitiba. Participaram 27 estudantes de enfermagem a partir do 7° período, durante o mês de outubro de 2023. Como resultados observamos que a maioria dos estudantes entrevistados relataram conhecer o transtorno de personalidade borderline e afirmaram ter tido ou estar tendo matérias destinadas à área da saúde mental. Sobre as causas, consequências e manifestações do transtorno, a maioria não soube responder pontualmente, além de não conseguir sondar ou detalhar mais precisamente suas respostas. Podemos concluir que o transtorno de personalidade borderline se faz presente, mas os conhecimentos dos estudantes sobre tal ainda não são devidamente satisfatórios. Portanto, se observa como necessidade aprofundar o tema em salas de aula, estágios acadêmicos, ampliando o conhecimento científico e promovendo o aperfeiçoamento e a capacitação dos profissionais na área.
