Analysis of the expansion of cabotage routes from economic and business sustainability view

Resumo: | Cabotage is a constant aspect of cargo transportation, both in Brazil and in the world. It exposes an energy efficiency if we draw the fuel versus tonnage ratio, it is environmentally sustainable by the CO2 emission reduction on the roads, when compared to road modes, it presents load safety, with this the cabotage is becoming a key factor of competitiveness between the companies. From this, this present study proposes the analysis of the enlargement of the cabotage routes of the Pulp and Paper Company in question, with the creation of a new concept of cargo transportation, based on the available official literature and internally identified know-how in the company studied. As for the characterization of the most feasible Routes for the transport of paper by cabotage, and the composition of freight costs for the studied routes, a data collection was performed, using the unstructured interview, technical visits, and observation. They were involved in the areas of logistics, and logistic supplies of the company in question, to guide the research. Thus, by consolidating the information and by means of a critical look at the current situation of cabotage in Brazil and the increase of the use of the same in the company in question, it is possible to say that even being in a country unbalanced in relation to the transport matrix, the investment and increase of cabotage at the national level is very advantageous. |

En el caso de las carreteras, se corre el riesgo de que se produzca un aumento de la producción de CO2 en las carreteras, si se compara con los modales de carreteras, presenta seguridad de carga, con lo que el cabotaje se está convirtiendo en un factor clave de competitividad entre las empresas. A partir de esto, este presente estudio propone el análisis de la ampliación de las rutas de cabotaje de la Empresa de Papel y Celulosa en cuestión, con la creación de un nuevo concepto de transporte de carga, con base en la literatura oficial disponible y en el know-how identificado internamente en la empresa estudiada. En cuanto a la caracterización de las Rutas más viables para el transporte de Papel vía cabotaje, y la composición de los costos de flete para las rutas estudiadas, se realizó una recolección de datos, utilizando la entrevista no estructurada, visitas técnicas, y la observación. Se involucró en las áreas de logística, y de suministros logísticos de la empresa en cuestión, para orientar la investigación. Así, consolidando las informaciones y por medio de una mirada crítica a la actual situación del cabotaje en Brasil, y el aumento de la utilización de la misma en la empresa en cuestión, es posible decir que aun estando en un país desequilibrado en relación a la matriz de transportes, es muy ventajoso la inversión y el aumento del cabotaje a nivel nacional.A cabotagem é uma vertente do transporte de cargas que está em constate crescimento, tanto no Brasil quanto no mundo. Expõe uma eficiência energética se traçarmos a relação combustível x tonelagem, é ambientalmente sustentável pela retirada da emissão de CO2 nas estradas, se comparado a modais rodoviários, apresenta segurança de carga, com isso a cabotagem está se tornando fator chave de competitividade entre as empresas. A partir disto, este presente estudo propõe a análise da ampliação das rotas de cabotagem da Empresa de Papel e Celulose em questão, com a criação de um novo conceito de transporte de carga, com base na literatura oficial disponível e no know-how identificado internamente na empresa estudada. Quanto a caracterização das Rotas mais viáveis para o transporte de Papel via cabotagem, e a composição dos custos de frete para as rotas estudadas, foi realizada uma coleta de dados, utilizando a entrevista não estruturada, visitas técnicas, e a observação. Foram envolvidas às áreas de logística, e de suprimentos logísticos da empresa em questão, para nortear a pesquisa.
