Resumo: | The relationship between Child Bruxism and anxiety associated with the use of technological devices was verified through a clinical study based on an integrative review. The revision scope was carried out in the bibliographic bases VHL, MEDLINE, BBO and LILACS, the keywords "bruxism", "children", "anxiety" and "alpha-amylases" were used, eligibility criteria were established and followed for the selection of articles. In the clinical stage, the participants were entertained with a digital game, a sample of saliva was collected, before and after using the device. Subsequently, intraoral examination, measurement of salivary alpha-amylase (AAS) and questionnaires were performed. The average age of the participants was 8.4 years (n = 10). Among the patients with bruxism, it was observed that (57.2%) they wake up at night, talk (60%), snore (80%), report nightmares (80%) and dental clenching (75%). The most used device was a cell phone / tablet (90%), with an average weekly time of (27h) (SD ± 6.05), there was no statistically significant difference between the mean AAS levels before and after exposure to the digital game (T-Student test, p-value 0.653). It was concluded that anxiety is a factor that may be related to the involvement of Childhood Bruxism. Most witches users of technological devices had a habit of grinding their teeth and poor sleep quality than those who did not have bruxism. AAS levels are high before and after exposure to digital gaming. |

It was concluded that anxiety is a factor that may be related to the involvement of Childhood Bruxism. Most witches users of technological devices had a habit of grinding their teeth and poor sleep quality than those who did not have bruxism. AAS levels are high before and after exposure to digital gaming. Research, Society and Development2020-09-06info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/815510.33448/rsd-v9i9.8155Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 9; e753998155Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 9; e753998155Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 9; e7539981552525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/8155/6966Copyright (c) 2020 João Mykael Alves Xavier; Myllena Alves Xavier; Natan Silva Oliveira; Pollianna Muniz Alves; Edja Maria Melo Brito Costa; Renata Souza Coelho Soares; Nadja Maria da Silva Oliveira; Ana Isabella Arruda Meira Ribeirohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessXavier, João Mykael Alves Xavier, Myllena Alves Oliveira, Natan Silva Alves, Pollianna Muniz Costa, Edja Maria Melo Brito Soares, Renata Souza Coelho Oliveira, Nadja Maria da Silva Ribeiro, Ana Isabella Arruda Meira 2020-09-18T01:42:11Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/8155Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:30:41.766143Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
