Couples experiences about the partner's participation in the puerperium

Resumo: | Objective: to know the experience of couples in the puerperal period about the partner's participation. Method: descriptive qualitative research, performed through semi-structured interview and the “Almanac” Creativity and Sensitivity Technique. The data were analyzed according to the operational proposal. The study population consisted of ten couples who were experiencing the immediate, late or remote puerperium. Results: they were organized in a category called “the couple's daily life in the puerperium: changes and active participation of the partner”. Each couple experienced the puerperium according to their uniqueness, adapting their routine and reorganizing it. The partners who were included in the puerperium felt more satisfied when carrying out the care with the baby. Conclusion: The active participation of the partners contributed significantly to the couples experiencing this period with more satisfaction, strengthening the father-mother-child bond. |

Método: investigación cualitativa descriptiva, realizada por medio de entrevista semiestructurada y de la Técnica de Creatividad y Sensibilidad “Almanaque”. Los datos fueron analizados conforme a la propuesta operativa. La población del estudio fueron diez parejas que vivían el puerperio inmediato, tardío o remoto. Resultados: fueron organizados en una categoría denominada: “el cotidiano de la pareja en el puerperio: cambios y participación activa del compañero”. Cada pareja vivenció el puerperio de acuerdo con su singularidad, adaptando su rutina y reorganizándola. Los socios que se incluyeron en el puerperio se sintieron más satisfechos al realizar el cuidado del bebé. Las puérperas también reforzaron la importancia del socio en las actividades domésticas y en los cuidados con ellas y con el bebé. Conclusión: La participación activa de los socios contribuyó significativamente a que las parejas vivían ese período con más satisfacción, fortaleciendo el vínculo padre-madre-hijo.Objetivo: conhecer a vivência de casais no período puerperal acerca da participação do parceiro. Método: pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, realizada por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e da Técnica de Criatividade e Sensibilidade “Almanaque”. Os dados foram analisados conforme a proposta operativa. A população do estudo foram dez casais que vivenciavam o puerpério imediato, tardio ou remoto. Resultados: foram organizados em uma categoria denominada: “o cotidiano do casal no puerpério: mudanças e participação ativa do parceiro”. Cada casal vivenciou o puerpério de acordo com sua singularidade, adaptando sua rotina e reorganizando-a. Os parceiros, que foram incluídos no puerpério, sentiram-se mais satisfeitos ao realizar os cuidados com o bebê. As puérperas também reforçaram a importância do parceiro nas atividades domésticas e nos cuidados com elas e com o bebê.
