Characteristics of moral harassment in the work context

Resumo: The psychological terror caused by moral harassment is one of the psychological violence frequently used as a means of control and domination. The study aimed to analyze the characteristics of bullying in the work context in a medium-sized Brazilian municipality. It is an applied, descriptive and quantitative research, a survey. 190 workers participated. For data collection, a questionnaire developed and validated in Brazil was used. The main results indicate that there is no moral harassment in the work environment of most participants. When seeking to establish a statistical association between the categories, no result was evidently significant, since the averages of the responses, for the most part, were concentrated on the options never and rarely, which is stipulated as not suffering from bullying in the workplace. However, it is necessary to mention the small, but significant number of manifestations that show discrimination due to race, sex and sexual orientation, discrimination that can be expressed directly, causing suffering to the victim and constituting a crime.

El estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar las características del acoso en el contexto laboral en un municipio brasileño de tamaño medio. Es una investigación aplicada, descriptiva y cuantitativa, una encuesta. Participaron 190 trabajadores. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario desarrollado y validado en Brasil. Los principales resultados indican que no existe acoso moral en el entorno laboral de la mayoría de los participantes. Al buscar establecer una asociación estadística entre las categorías, ningún resultado fue evidentemente significativo, ya que los promedios de las respuestas, en su mayoría, se concentraron en las opciones nunca y rara vez, que se estipula como no sufrir acoso laboral. . Sin embargo, es necesario mencionar el pequeño, pero significativo número de manifestaciones que muestran discriminación por raza, sexo y orientación sexual, discriminación que puede expresarse directamente, ocasionando sufrimiento a la víctima y constituyendo un delito.O terror psicológico causado pelo assédio moral é uma das violências psicológicas frequentemente utilizadas como meio de controle e de dominação. O estudo objetivou analisar as características do assédio moral no contexto de trabalho em um município brasileiro de médio porte. Trata-se de uma pesquisa aplicada, descritiva e quantitativa, um survey. Participaram 190 trabalhadores. Na coleta de dados utilizou-se questionário desenvolvido e validado no Brasil. Os principais resultados indicam que inexistem condutas de assédio moral no ambiente de trabalho da maioria dos participantes. Quando se buscou estabelecer associação estatística entre as categorias, nenhum resultado foi evidentemente significativo, uma vez que as médias das respostas, em sua maioria, se concentraram nas opções nunca e raramente, o que se estipula como não sofrimento de assédio moral no ambiente de trabalho.
