Resumo: | Objective: to evaluate the level of work overload of formal caregivers linked to a private home care company or Home Care in Sinop-MT. Method: a two-step sequential, descriptive, and exploratory mixed-method research was carried out. Results: Sixteen formal caregivers from a private company that provides home care services in the city of SINOP-MT were approached. The sociodemographic sample's profile addressed shows an adult audience, between 20-59, primarily female, with experience in the exercise of the profession and with experience in the company in question. Regarding the level of dependence of the patients seen, most of them had a high level of dependence, according to the caregivers' perception, which was measured by the Katz Scale. Regarding the perception of formal caregivers about their work, four themes were identified, according to Bardin's content analysis: work environment, work routine, feelings associated with work and relationship with co-workers. Conclusion: it can be observed that there is a level of work overload and symptoms of exhaustion and tiredness in formal care in the AD format. Participants perceive the work routine as the main reason for this tiredness, although other factors may contribute to this perception. In this way, the importance of health promotion programs in the DA work is highlighted to minimize the work overload and provide a better quality of life with formal care. |

Research, Society and Development2022-07-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3193710.33448/rsd-v11i9.31937Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 9; e25611931937Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 9; e25611931937Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 9; e256119319372525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/31937/27108Copyright (c) 2022 Vanessa Gisele dos Santos; Leonardo Pestillo de Oliveira; Ely Mitie Massuda; Lucas França Garciahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Vanessa Gisele dosOliveira, Leonardo Pestillo de Massuda, Ely Mitie Garcia, Lucas França 2022-07-21T12:36:16Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/31937Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:48:05.911591Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
