Resumo: | The modulation of eating behavior is the results of several factors that may or may not be changed, in accordance with the context of childhood growth and development. The strong interferences of the food and nutritional transition resulting from the profound socioeconomic and environmental changes promoted many changes in the eating pattern and habits of children. In order to investigate the determining factors in eating learning, this literature review was prepared considering the assumption of analyzing the influence of electronic media and the familiar context and their possible relationships with eating habits in this age group, as well as addressing consequences arising from bad habits related to living condition, health problems and their consequences throughout life. Considering this, the present study performed a search for articles published between the years 2017 and 2022 on words and expressions related to children and electronic media, which highlighted the strong influence of food advertisements on children’s behavior, as well as an approach over the metabolic damages of the intake of foods with a high content of fats and sugars in association with the use of electronic devices and, furthermore, emphasizing the importance of the family in the construction of dietary determinants in childhood. |
