Resumo: Introduction: Hemangioma is a benign tumor that occurs due to abnormal proliferation of blood vessels, mainly affecting the lips, tongue, cheek mucosa and palate. The diagnosis is usually clinical, through anamnesis and detailed physical examination. among the therapeutic options, sclerotherapy has been used with satisfactory clinical and aesthetic results. Monoethanolamine oleate (Ethamolin®) is a derivative of oleic acid with coagulative properties that perform local coagulation of the lesion, becoming a conservative form of treatment. Case report: Male patient, melanoderma, 80 years old, came to the hospital of the restoration with a lump on the side of the tongue of a nodular, purplish character who underwent treatment with sclerosing agents. Discussion: The therapeutic approach was chemical sclerotherapy with Ethamolin with total remission of the lesion and satisfactory aesthetic result, in approximately 40 days. Objective:  Through this report it is observed that the treatment was effective, even without using invasive methods. The substance monoethanolamine oleate (Ethamolin®) has been shown to be quite positive in numerous applications in the health area.
