Automated temperature and sanitization measurement totem with Arduino in Tinkercad

Resumo: The 2019 Global Pandemic has plagued the world due to the high degree of contamination and the risk of death for people with physiological condition. One of the symptoms of this infection is the presence of fever, and during the peak of the disease, measurements of temperatures were performed with laser thermometers by employees at a small distance from the citizen. Although hand hygiene has always been important, it has become crucial during the pandemic to adopt rigorous effective hand hygiene practices to contain the spread of the virus. The simple act of hand hygiene not only prevents them from becoming disease-carrying vehicles, but is also crucial in places where pathogens are common, such as hospitals. In this scenario, an experimental research was conducted, based on the computer model developed, it became possible to create an autonomous totem capable of droping hand sanitizer into the user' hand and measuring body temperature without direct human touch. This concept was designed through Tinkercad simulation platform, which offers the simulation of electronic circuits and their use in a similar way to physical form. The implementation of the totem proved to be feasible, allowing the start of the parameters metioned above with no need of users physical contact and highlighting the feasibility of automation to enhance the combat against COVID-19.

Uno de los síntomas de esta infección es la presencia de fiebre, y durante el pico de la enfermedad, se realizaban mediciones de temperatura con termómetros láser a cierta distancia de los ciudadanos. Aunque la higiene de manos siempre ha sido importante, se volvió crucial durante la pandemia adoptar prácticas rigurosas de higiene efectiva de las manos para contener la propagación del virus. El simple acto de higienizar las manos no solo evita que se conviertan en vehículos de transmisión de enfermedades, sino que también es crucial en lugares donde los patógenos son comunes, como los hospitales. En este escenario, se llevó a cabo una investigación experimental. Basándose en el modelo computacional desarrollado, se hizo posible crear un tótem automatizado capaz de dispensar alcohol en gel en las manos de los usuarios y medir la temperatura corporal sin necesidad de contacto humano directo. Este logro se logró a través de la plataforma de simulación Tinkercad, que ofrece la simulación de circuitos electrónicos y su uso de manera similar a la forma física. La implementación del tótem demostró ser factible, permitiendo la activación sin necesidad de contacto manual y resaltando la viabilidad de la automatización en la lucha contra la COVID-19.A Pandemia Global 2019 assolou o mundo devido ao alto grau de contágio e aos riscos de óbitos para pessoas com morbidades fisiológicas. Um dos sintomas desta infecção é a presença de febre, e durante o pico da doença, medições de temperatura eram realizadas com termômetros a laser por funcionários a pequenas distâncias do cidadão. Apesar de a higienização das mãos ter sido sempre importante, tornou-se crucial durante a pandemia adotar práticas rigorosas de higienização eficaz das mãos para conter a disseminação do vírus. O simples ato de higienizar as mãos não apenas evita que elas se tornem veículos de transmissão de doenças, mas também é crucial em locais onde patógenos são comuns, como hospitais. Nesse cenário, uma pesquisa experimental foi conduzida. Com base no modelo computacional desenvolvido, tornou-se possível criar um totem automatizado capaz de dispensar álcool em gel nas mãos dos usuários e medir a temperatura corporal sem a necessidade de contato humano direto. Essa realização foi permitida por meio da plataforma de simulação Tinkercad, que oferece a simulação de circuitos eletrônicos e sua utilização de forma semelhante à forma física.
