Resumo: The Denim Processing laundries are considered industries with a high polluting and hydro intensive capacity, due to the chemicals used during the production processes, and that demand a large amount of water to process the garments. In this scenario, there is a need for studies that point out alternatives for water reuse, as well as diversification in the way it is collected. The present research aims to analyze the reuse of water in the laundries located in Agreste Pernambucano Local Productive Clothing Arrangement (APLPCA), in order to contribute to the alternatives of reuse during the production process. To collect the data, questionnaires and interviews were applied in 105 laundries, where it was possible to determine and learn about the production process, water use and possibilities of reuse. It was found that 83% of laundries perform different levels of water reuse and 17% do not reuse at all. Nevertheless, the results demonstrated that the practice of water reuse, in addition to contributing to water savings in the process, brings considerable financial savings, since most laundries use water purchased by water truck, which interferes with the cost and product competitiveness.
