Resumo: | Introduction: Hospitalization is a critical process, with great repercussions for the family/child binomial. Objective: The study aimed to understand the impact of hospitalization on the family/child binomial and demonstrate how nursing care should be carried out in this context, aiming to improve the quality of care and reduce the negative impacts of this period. Methodology: For this, an integrative literature review was carried out, having as a guiding question: “What is the role of nursing in the care of hospitalized children, in order to contribute to reducing the impact of hospitalization?”. The searches were carried out in the online databases: Virtual Health Library (BVS) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), in which the final sample of this review consisted of 9 scientific articles. Results and discussion: In debate, the hospitalization of the child causes critical impacts and a large proportion of the family, since it is the pillar of support for this individual and with this, numerous physical and emotional reactions are triggered. Conclusion: It is concluded that the impact generates marked changes both in family dynamics and in their routine, causing emotional and physical consequences for the child and family, making it clear the importance of strategies to overcome the negative effects of hospitalization in children and the importance of recommendations for promoting well-being. |

Objetivo: El estudio tuvo como objetivo comprender el impacto de la hospitalización en el binomio familia/niño y demostrar cómo se debe realizar el cuidado de enfermería en este contexto, con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de la atención y reducir los impactos negativos de este período. Metodología: Para ello, se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura, teniendo como pregunta orientadora: “¿Cuál es el papel de la enfermería en el cuidado del niño hospitalizado, con el fin de contribuir a la reducción del impacto de la hospitalización?”. Las búsquedas se realizaron en las bases de datos en línea: Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS) y Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), en las que la muestra final de esta revisión estuvo constituida por 9 artículos científicos. Resultados y discusión: En debate, la hospitalización del niño provoca impactos críticos y en gran parte de la familia, ya que es el pilar de sostén de este individuo y con ello se desencadenan numerosas reacciones físicas y emocionales. Conclusión: Se concluye que el impacto genera cambios marcados tanto en la dinámica familiar como en su rutina, provocando consecuencias emocionales y físicas para el niño y la familia, dejándose clara la importancia de las estrategias para superar los efectos negativos de la hospitalización en los niños y la importancia de recomendaciones para promover el bienestar.Introdução: A hospitalização consiste em um processo crítico, com grandes repercussões para o binômio família/criança. Objetivo: Com o estudo objetivou-se compreender o impacto da hospitalização no binômio família/criança e demonstrar como a assistência de enfermagem deve ser realizada neste contexto, visando melhorar a qualidade do atendimento e reduzir os impactos negativos desse período. Metodologia: Para isso, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, tendo como pergunta norteadora: “Qual o papel da enfermagem no cuidado à criança hospitalizada, de modo a contribuir para redução do impacto da hospitalização?”. As pesquisas foram realizadas nas bases de dados online: Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), na qual a amostra final desta revisão foi constituída por 9 artigos científicos. Resultados e discussão: Em debate, a hospitalização da criança causa impactos críticos e de grande proporção familiar, já que a mesma é o pilar de apoio desse indivíduo e com isso, inúmeras reações físicas e emocionais são desencadeadas.
