Epidemiological and clinical characterization of notified cases of viral hepatitis in the municipality of Cacoal-RO: a time-frame from 2018 to 2020

Resumo: | Viral Hepatitis, an aggravation of compulsory weekly notification, presents specific tropism for hepatocytes, diverse viral etiologies, inflammatory character and broad clinical spectrum. Due to the amount of its prevalence, facing it represents a public health challenge. It aimed to explain the clinical and epidemiological profile of hepatitis notifications in the municipality of Cacoal-RO during the period 2018-2020. This is a cross-sectional epidemiological study of a descriptive and quantitative nature, through the analysis of secondary data, not requiring the approval of CONEP/CEP, extracted from the notification form of the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), of the Department of Informatics of the SUS (DATASUS), making a temporal cut in relation to the variables of interest. Between 2018 and 2020, 93 cases were reported in the municipality, of which 55 (59.14%) were male. There was a predominance of brown races, with 62 (66.67%) cases. As for education, 5th to 8th grades had 17 (18.28%) of the notifications. The 40-59 age group obtained 43 (46.24%) communications. Among the clinical variables, etiologically, the B virus prevailed, with 75 (80.65%) cases, in addition to the chronic/carrier form being present in 91 (97.85%) of those affected. Regarding transmission, it was predominantly sexual, with 76 (81.72%) cases. As for confirmation, 75 (80.65%) were HBsAg reagents and 17 (18.28%) were positive for AntiHCV. In this way, the epidemiological and clinical profile of the notifications is evident, which contributes to the planning and adoption of health education measures aimed at local needs. |

Por la magnitud de su prevalencia, enfrentarla representa un desafío de salud pública. Tuvo como objetivo explicar el perfil clínico y epidemiológico de las notificaciones de hepatitis en el municipio de Cacoal-RO durante el período 2018-2020. Se trata de un estudio epidemiológico transversal, de carácter descriptivo y cuantitativo, mediante el análisis de datos secundarios, sin necesidad de aprobación del CONEP/CEP, extraídos del formulario de notificación del Sistema de Información de Enfermedades de Declaración Obligatoria (SINAN), del Departamento de Informática del SUS (DATASUS), realizando un corte temporal en relación a las variables de interés. Entre 2018 y 2020 se reportaron 93 casos en el municipio, de los cuales 55 (59,14%) fueron del sexo masculino. Hubo predominio de razas marrones, con 62 (66,67%) casos. En cuanto a la educación, los grados 5º a 8º tuvieron 17 (18,28%) de las notificaciones. El grupo de edad de 40-59 años obtuvo 43 (46,24%) comunicaciones. Entre las variables clínicas, etiológicamente prevaleció el virus B, con 75 (80,65%) casos, además de estar presente la forma crónica/portadora en 91 (97,85%) de los afectados. En cuanto a la transmisión, fue predominantemente sexual, con 76 (81,72%) casos. En cuanto a la confirmación, 75 (80,65%) fueron reactivos HBsAg y 17 (18,28%) fueron positivos para AntiHCV. De esa forma, se evidencia el perfil epidemiológico y clínico de las notificaciones, lo que contribuye para la planificación y adopción de medidas de educación en salud dirigidas a las necesidades locales.As Hepatites Virais, agravo de notificação compulsória semanal, apresentam tropismo específico para os hepatócitos, etiologias virais diversas, caráter inflamatório e amplo espectro clínico. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico transversal de caráter descritivo e quantitativo, por meio da análise de dados secundários, não necessitando da aprovação do CONEP/CEP, extraídos da ficha de notificação do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN), do Departamento de Informática do SUS (DATASUS), perfazendo um recorte temporal em relação as variáveis de interesse. Entre os anos de 2018 a 2020 foram notificados 93 casos no município, dentre os quais 55 (59,14%) eram no sexo masculino. Houve predominância na raça parda, com 62 (66,67%) casos. Quanto a escolaridade, 5ª a 8ª série apresentou 17 (18,28%) das notificações. A faixa etária de 40-59 anos obteve 43 (46,24%) comunicações. Entre as variáveis clínicas, prevaleceu etiologicamente o vírus B, com 75 (80,65%) casos, além da forma crônica/portador estar presente em 91 (97,85%) dos acometidos. Em relação a transmissão, essa se deu predominantemente por meio sexual, com 76 (81,72%) casos. Quanto a confirmação, 75 (80,65%) foram HBsAg reagentes e 17 (18,28%) tiveram resultado positivo para AntiHCV.
