Resumo: The objective of the present work is to analyze, in the light of a systematic review, the benefits of the operation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) in the field of civil construction in studies published in SPELL between 2014 and 2022. The results obtained indicate the benefits of adhering to a SGA, since there is a reduction in production costs, these resulting from the reuse of material in addition to saving time, without affecting the profits of the construction companies as well as the maintenance of the quality of the service. That said, it is demonstrated that this management method must be increasingly implemented and encouraged within the field of civil construction, aiming at improvements in performance, both operational and environmental.

Los resultados obtenidos señalan los beneficios de adherirse a un SGA, ya que hay una reducción en los costos de producción, estos derivados de la reutilización de material además del ahorro de tiempo, sin afectar las utilidades de las empresas constructoras así como el mantenimiento de la calidad de los Servicio. Dicho esto, se demuestra que este método de gestión debe ser cada vez más implementado y fomentado en el campo de la construcción civil, con el objetivo de mejorar el desempeño, tanto operativo como ambiental.O objetivo do presente trabalho é analisar à luz de uma revisão sistemática os benefícios do funcionamento do Sistema de Gestão Ambiental (SGA) no ramo da construção civil em estudos publicados na SPELL entre 2014 a 2022. Os resultados obtidos apontam os benefícios da aderência de um SGA, uma vez que há a diminuição de custos de produção, esses decorrentes da reutilização de material além da economia de tempo, sem afetar os lucros das construtoras bem como a manutenção da qualidade do  serviço.
