Methodology of problematization in medical courses: a pedagogical experience

Resumo: The objective of this article was describe the pedagogical experiences in the module “Integration, Teaching and Community Service Practices” at the State University of Feira de Santana in Brazil (PIESC I-UEFS). It´s a qualitative study, carried out in a group of students of the first year of the medical course, the data were collected with participant observation and field notes. For the development of the course contents, the methodological approach of problematization was used through the Arc de Maguerez, the contextualization of knowledge was carried out in a Family Health unit, the dynamics of the course consisted of an alternation of theory and practice. The results of the experience materialized in the elaboration of a smart map of the epidemiological profile of the community and presentation of the results to the community. The evaluation of the learning experience in the integration of the curricular contents of the course with the health problems of the community was evaluated as positive by the students, community agents and other health professionals. In conclusion, the methodology of problematization, stimulated the protagonism, creativity and autonomy of the students, so that the strategies used have the potential to contribute to the training of doctors who overcome the vision of traditional medicine, it promotes the necessary competencies in the students so that in the future they become participatory medical professionals committed to social transformation.Incluir o resumo em inglês.

Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, llevada a cabo en un grupo de estudiantes del primer año del curso de medicina, los datos fueron colectados con la observación participante y notas de campo. Para el desarrollo de los contenidos del curso fue utilizado el enfoque metodológico de la problematización por medio del Arco de Maguerez, la contextualización de los saberes se llevó a cabo en una unidad de Salud de la Familia, la dinámica del curso consistió en una alternancia de teoría y la práctica. Los resultados de la experiencia se materializo en la elaboración de un mapa inteligente, del perfil epidemiológico de la comunidad y presentación de los resultados a la comunidad. La evaluación de la experiencia de aprendizaje en la integración de contenidos curriculares del curso con los problemas de salud de la comunidad, fue evaluada como positiva por los estudiantes, agentes comunitarios y demás profesionales de salud. En conclusión la metodología de la problematización estimulo el protagonismo, la creatividad y autonomía de los estudiantes, por lo que las estrategias utilizadas tienen el potencial para contribuir en la formación de médicos que superen la visión de la medicina tradicional, promueve en los estudiantes competencias necesarias para que en el futuro se tornen profesionales de la medicina participativos e comprometidos con las transformaciones sociales.O objetivo deste artigo é descrever a experiência pedagógica no módulo "Práticas de Integração, Ensino e Serviço Comunitário" da Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana, Brasil (PIESC I-UEFS). Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, realizado em uma turma de alunos do primeiro ano do curso de medicina, os dados foram coletados com observação participante e notas de campo. Para o desenvolvimento dos conteúdos da unidade curricular, utilizou-se a abordagem metodológica da problematização através do Arco Maguerez, a contextualização dos conhecimentos foi realizada numa unidade de Saúde da Família, a dinâmica do curso consistiu numa alternância de a teoria e a prática. Os resultados da experiência materializaram-se na elaboração de um mapa inteligente do perfil epidemiológico da comunidade e apresentação dos resultados à comunidade. A avaliação da experiência de aprendizagem na integração dos conteúdos curriculares do curso com os problemas de saúde da comunidade foi avaliada como positiva pelos alunos, agentes comunitários e demais profissionais de saúde.
