Resumo: | The use of solar energy has been increasing its space in the energy matrix. Brazil has great potential for applications using photovoltaic energy, but this potential is not fully explored. Due to this, the work proposes a case study on the implementation of a photovoltaic plant in the Academic Unit of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, one of the branches of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. The characterization of the implantation area, bibliographic surveys about the object of study were carried out, field visits to obtain photographic records and mapping of the processes, and analysis of the plant's executive project were also performed. To calculate the solar energy potential for the region, SunData software and MS-Excel were used to process the data. It was possible to estimate a potential of 747,877.19 kW of energy, which expresses the feasibility of the plant in terms of economic, technical and legal factors, providing data to support the planning of the operation and maintenance of the electrical system in the area under study, aligned with the sustainability policy proposed by this academic unit. |

Brasil tiene un gran potencial para aplicaciones que utilizan energía fotovoltaica, pero este potencial no está completamente explorado. Por eso, el trabajo propone un estudio de caso sobre la implementación de una planta fotovoltaica en la Unidad Académica de Cabo de Santo Agostinho, una de las sedes de la Universidad Federal Rural de Pernambuco. Se realizó la caracterización del área de implantación, levantamientos bibliográficos sobre el objeto de estudio, visitas de campo para obtención de registros fotográficos y mapeo de los procesos, y análisis del proyecto ejecutivo de planta. Para calcular el potencial de energía solar para la región, se utilizó el software SunData y MS-Excel para procesar los datos. Se logró estimar un potencial de 747.877,19 kW de energía, lo que expresa la factibilidad de la planta en términos económicos, técnicos y legales, brindando datos para sustentar la planificación de la operación y mantenimiento del sistema eléctrico en el área de estudio. , en línea con la política de sustentabilidad propuesta por esta unidad académica.O uso da energia solar vem aumentando seu espaço na matriz energética. Devido a isso, o trabalho propõe um estudo de caso sobre a implantação de uma usina fotovoltaica na Unidade Acadêmica do Cabo de Santo Agostinho, uma das vertentes da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE). Foram realizados a caracterização da área de implantação, levantamentos bibliográficos acerca do objeto de estudo, visitas a campo, para obtenção de registros fotográficos e mapeamento dos processos, e análise do projeto executivo da usina. Para o cálculo do potencial de energia solar para a região, foi utilizado o software SunData e o MS-Excel para o tratamento dos dados.
