Difficulties experienced by pregnant teenagers and nursing care: Integrative review of the literature

Resumo: Objective: to analyze the difficulties and coping strategies of pregnant adolescents and the role of nurses. Methodology: An Integrative Literature Review was carried out, searching the LILACS and SCIELO databases using the descriptors "pregnancy", "adolescence" and "nursing". Original articles published between 2019 and 2023 were included. Results: Pregnant teenagers face financial difficulties, the need to acquire new knowledge and adapt to a new routine, beyond feelings about pregnancy and the future, lack of social and family support and difficulties related to health services. In relation to nursing care, positive interaction and qualified listening between the team and pregnant women and a welcoming environment and encouraging autonomy are fundamental to promoting safety and well-being. Conclusion: Nursing professionals and the healthcare team must be prepared to meet the specific needs of pregnant adolescents, offering support, guidance and empathy through a humanized and individualized approach to teenagers.

Metodología: Se realizó una Revisión Integrativa de la Literatura, buscando en las bases de datos LILACS y SCIELO utilizando los descriptores "embarazo", "adolescencia" y "enfermería". Se incluyeron artículos originales publicados entre 2019 y 2023. Resultados: Las adolescentes embarazadas enfrentan dificultades financieras, la necesidad de adquirir nuevos conocimientos y adaptarse a una nueva rutina, además sentimientos sobre el embarazo y el futuro, falta de apoyo social y familiar, y dificultades relacionadas con los servicios de salud. En relación a los cuidados de enfermería, la interacción positiva y la escucha calificada entre el equipo y las mujeres embarazadas y un ambiente acogedor y fomentando la autonomía son fundamentales para promover la seguridad y el bienestar. Conclusión: Los profesionales de enfermería y el equipo de salud deben estar preparados para atender las necesidades específicas de las adolescentes embarazadas, ofreciendo apoyo, orientación y empatía a través de un abordaje humanizado e individualizado.Objetivo: analisar as dificuldades vivenciadas pelas gestantes adolescentes e assistência de enfermagem. Metodologia: Realizou-se uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura, com busca nas bases de dados LILACS e SCIELO usando os descritores "gravidez", "adolescência" e "enfermagem". Foram incluídos artigos originais publicados entre 2019 e 2023. Resultados: As gestantes adolescentes enfrentam dificuldades financeiras, necessidade de adquirir novos conhecimentos e de se adaptar a uma nova rotina, além dos sentimentos frente à gestação e ao futuro, da falta de apoio familiar e social e dificuldades relacionadas aos serviços de saúde. Em relação à assistência de enfermagem, a interação positiva e uma escuta qualificada entre a equipe e as gestantes, além de um ambiente acolhedor e o estímulo à autonomia são fundamentais para promover a segurança e o bem-estar.
