Resumo: | The main objective of this research is to investigate the perception of female aging based on its representation in contemporary Brazilian literature by female authors, more specifically based on a possible interpretation of the female protagonists of the works Milamor and Amor em dois tempos, both by the author Livia Garcia-Roza. The decision for the two works, as the corpus of this research, is justified by the fact that they problematize the process of rediscovery of the aged female body, sexuality, love without the need for procreation, that is, the resignification of the elderly woman is in full operation in the narratives investigated here, although these women have social, physical, psychological implications and, for the most part, are silenced, mainly within the family. The protagonists of these works are aware of the consequences of the effect of time and lost youth and the reinvention of old age. Thus, it was found that the female sexuality of aging women will be paramount both in the sense of sexual-affective relationships between partners and with self-care. When this woman directs her gaze to her body, in her moments of intimacy, she knows that this body is no longer the same as it used to be, but even so, they resort to medicine, physical exercises, aesthetic treatments, travel, walks, seniors' clubs; all in an attempt to follow their lives from another perspective than that of the old carola, grandma, caregiver of the grandchildren. |

Research, Society and Development2023-06-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/4198010.33448/rsd-v12i6.41980Research, Society and Development; Vol. 12 No. 6; e7412641980Research, Society and Development; Vol. 12 Núm. 6; e7412641980Research, Society and Development; v. 12 n. 6; e74126419802525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/41980/34038Copyright (c) 2023 Fabricia Gonçalves Amaral Pontes; Warlyton Silva Martins; Raimundo Célio Pedreira; Maria Dilce Wania Rodrigues de Almeida do Nascimento; Marcia Ferreira Sales; Sara Janai Corado Lopes; Hugho Allex Neves Ponteshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPontes, Fabricia Gonçalves Amaral Martins, Warlyton Silva Pedreira, Raimundo Célio Nascimento, Maria Dilce Wania Rodrigues de Almeida doSales, Marcia Ferreira Lopes, Sara Janai CoradoPontes, Hugho Allex Neves2023-07-06T11:16:27Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/41980Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2023-07-06T11:16:27Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
