Resumo: | The adequate respiratory support ensures resonance, projection, focus, stability, and better vocal quality. The aim of this study was to verify the relationship between the activation of the core musculature and the spectrographic acoustic vocal characteristics in a group of adult women. This is a cross-sectional, observational, analytical, and quantitative study with ten women 19 to 28 years old, without vocal complaints, and without laryngeal disorders. Spectrographic vocal analysis, maximum expiratory pressure measurement, and evaluation of the multifidus, transverse and perineum muscles were performed. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Correlation Test at 5 %. The results showed significant positive correlation between the maximum expiratory pressure and the definition of the second formant; between the activation of the perineal muscle and the regularity of the spectrographic tracing. And showed significant negative correlation between the activation of the multifidus muscles and the width of the second formant. It was concluded that the more activated the perineal musculature, the greater the regularity of the spectrographic tracing; the higher the maximum expiratory pressure, the greater the definition of the second formant; and the greater the activation of the multifidus muscles, the smaller the bandwidth of the second formant. Such findings demonstrate the role of the core strength in the vocal quality. A relationship was established among the maximum expiratory pressure, the activation of the core muscles, and the spectrographic vocal characteristics. |

El objetivo de este estudio fue verificar la relación entre la activación de la musculatura de lo centro de fuerza corporal y las características vocales acústicas espectrográficas en un grupo de mujeres adultas. Este es un estudio transversal, observacional, analítico y cuantitativo con diez mujeres de 19 a 28 años de edad, sin dolencias vocales y sin trastornos laríngeos. Se realizaron análisis vocales espectrográficos, medición de la presión espiratoria máxima y evaluación de los músculos multifidus, transverso y perineo. Los datos se analizaron utilizando la prueba de correlación de Spearman al 5%. Los resultados mostraron una correlación positiva significativa entre la presión espiratoria máxima y la definición del segundo formante; entre la activación del músculo perineal y la regularidad del trazado espectrográfico. Y mostró una correlación negativa significativa entre la activación de los músculos multifidos y el ancho del segundo formante. Se concluyó que cuanto más activada es la musculatura perineal, mayor es la regularidad del trazado espectrográfico; cuanto mayor es la presión espiratoria máxima, mayor es la definición del segundo formante; y cuanto mayor es la activación de los músculos multifidos, menor es el ancho de banda del segundo formante. Tales resultados demuestran el papel de lo centro de fuerza corporal en la calidad vocal. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, observacional, analítico e quantitativo, com dez mulheres entre 19 e 28 anos de idade, sem queixas vocais e sem alterações laríngeas. Foram realizadas análises vocais acústicas espectrográficas, medida da pressão expiratória máxima e avaliação dos músculos multífídos, transverso e períneo. Os dados foram analisados pelo Teste de Correlação de Spearman com significância de 5%. Os resultados mostraram correlação positiva significativa entre a pressão expiratória máxima e a definição do segundo formante; entre a ativação do músculo perineal e a regularidade do traçado espectrográfico. E mostrou correlação negativa significativa entre a ativação dos músculos multífídos e a largura do segundo formante. Concluiu-se que quanto mais ativada a musculatura perineal, maior a regularidade do traçado espectrográfico; quanto maior a pressão expiratória máxima, maior a definição do segundo formante; e quanto maior a ativação dos músculos multífídos, menor é a largura de banda do segundo formante. Tais resultados demonstram o papel do centro de força corporal na qualidade vocal.
