Resumo: | Abstract Introduction: In nursing, auditing seeks to thoroughly identify information that is recorded in patients' charts, thus seeking to evidence quality of care and cost control. Objective: to analyze the scientific production regarding the impact on the auditing process in health services by the absence or failures of nursing records as a measure of the quality of nursing care. Results/Discussion: 10 articles were selected.The nurse has gained autonomy to carry out the audit process in the institutions together with other sectors, aiming to identify a priori the quality of the care provided to the patient and to orient as to the deficits occurring during this process, providing estimated data for improving the quality of care. Final considerations: the importance that auditing has within healthcare institutions is well known, aiming to be an effective measurer in the process of patient care and good billing management. Objetivo: analizar la producción científica en relación con el impacto en el proceso de auditoría en los servicios de salud por la ausencia o fallos de los registros de enfermería como medidor de la calidad de los cuidados de enfermería. Resultados/Discusión: Se seleccionaron 10 artículos. El enfermero ganó autonomía para realizar el proceso de auditoría en las instituciones en conjunto con otros establecimientos con el fin de identificar a priori la calidad de la asistencia prestada al paciente y orientar en cuanto a los déficits ocurridos durante dicho proceso proporcionando datos estimados para la mejora de la calidad del cuidado. Consideraciones finales: es notoria la importancia que tiene la auditoría dentro de las instituciones de salud, buscando ser un medidor efectivo en el proceso de atención al paciente y la buena gestión de la facturación. Palabras clave: "Auditoría de enfermería"; "Procesos de enfermería"; "Registros de enfermería".Introdução: Na enfermagem, a auditoria busca identificar minuciosamente informações que são registradas nos prontuários de pacientes, buscando assim evidenciar qualidade do cuidado prestado e controle de custos. Objetivo: analisar a produção científica em relação ao impacto no processo de auditoria nos serviços de saúde pela ausência ou falhas dos registros de enfermagem como mensurador da qualidade da assistência de enfermagem. Resultados/Discussão:foram selecionados 10 artigos. O enfermeiro ganhou autonomia para realizar o processo de auditoria nas instituições em conjunto com outros setores visando identificar a priori a qualidade da assistência prestada ao paciente e orientar quanto aos déficits ocorridos durante esse processo fornecendo dados estimados para melhoria da qualidade do cuidado. Considerações finais: é notória a importância que a auditoria tem dentro das instituições de saúde, visando ser um mensurador efetivo no processo de assistência ao paciente e na boa gestão de faturamento.
