The relationship between education and work in Simone Weil's perspective: a proposal for teaching philosophy

Resumo: The theme addressed in this investigation aims to analyze the issue of education and its relationship with work in Simone Weil who dedicated his life to the equality of the working class. The research starts from a guiding question as the pedagogical method called “translation”, proposed by this philosopher, for the education of workers and peasants in the early twentieth century: this method can be applied to the teaching of philosophy in public schools in Brazil in the days of today? This research is characterized as a bibliographic review, which was carried out in the Google Scholar database. It is significant to emphasize that the teaching of philosophy proved to be something important for education, since for students it is necessary to point out a different, reflective and critical view of philosophy, as did Weil and other thinkers, that is, the translation of philosophical speech in order to facilitate students' learning.

La investigación parte de una pregunta orientadora en relación al método pedagógico llamado “traducción”, propuesto por este filósofo, para la educación de los obreros y campesinos, a principios del siglo XX: este método puede ser aplicado a la enseñanza de la filosofía en bachillerato de las escuelas públicas en Brasil hoy? Esta investigación se caracteriza por ser una revisión bibliográfica realizada en la base de datos Google Scholar. Es significativo destacar que la enseñanza de la filosofía demostró ser importante para la educación, considerando que, para los estudiantes, parece necesario señalar una visión diferenciada, reflexiva y crítica de la filosofía, como lo hicieron Weil y otros pensadores, a partir de la traducción del discurso filosófico para facilitar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.A temática abordada nesta investigação pretende analisar a questão da educação e sua relação com o trabalho, de acordo com Simone Weil, que dedicou a sua vida em prol da igualdade da classe trabalhadora. A pesquisa parte de uma indagação norteadora em relação ao método pedagógico chamado de “tradução”, proposto por essa filósofa, para a educação de operários e camponeses, no início do século XX: este método pode ser aplicado para o ensino de filosofia no ensino médio das escolas públicas, no Brasil, nos dias de hoje? Esta pesquisa se caracteriza como uma revisão bibliográfica realizada na base de dados do Google Acadêmico.
