Resumo: Objective: to identify the facilities and difficulties encountered by health professionals of an Intra-Hospital Committee for Donation of Organs and Tissues for Transplants from a Hospital Institution in Southern Brazil during the notification process, family approach and organ procurement for transplants. Method: qualitative research, through an interview with 20 workers of an Intra-Hospital Committee for Donation of Organs and Tissues for Transplants, applying the technique of Discursive Textual Analysis. Results: two categories emerged: facilitating aspects for health professionals in the notification process, family approach and organ procurement and difficulties encountered by health professionals during the notification process, family approach and organ procurement. Conclusion: the results suggest the importance of implementing strategies with the objective of attributing more social value to the donation, with greater awareness of the population and health professionals better trained to efficiently coordinate the process.

Método: investigación cualitativa, a través de una entrevista con 20 trabajadores de una Comisión intrahospitalaria para la donación de órganos y tejidos para trasplantes, aplicando la técnica de análisis textual discursivo. Resultados: surgieron dos categorías: aspectos de facilitación para los profesionales de la salud en el proceso de notificación, enfoque familiar y obtención de órganos y dificultades encontradas por los profesionales de la salud durante el proceso de notificación, enfoque familiar y obtención de órganos. Conclusión: los resultados sugieren la importancia de implementar estrategias con el objetivo de atribuir más valor social a la donación, con una mayor conciencia de la población y los profesionales de la salud mejor capacitados para coordinar el proceso de manera eficiente.Objetivo: identificar as facilidades e dificuldades encontradas pelos profissionais de saúde de uma Comissão Intra-Hospitalar de Doação de Órgãos e Tecidos para Transplantes de uma Instituição Hospitalar do Sul do Brasil durante o processo de notificação, abordagem familiar e captação de órgãos para transplantes. Metodologia: pesquisa qualitativa, por meio de entrevista com 20 trabalhadores de um Comissão Intra-Hospitalar de Doação de Órgãos e Tecidos para Transplantes, aplicando a técnica de Análise Textual Discursiva. Resultados: emergiram duas categorias: aspectos facilitadores para os profissionais de saúde no processo de notificação, abordagem familiar e captação de órgãos e dificuldades encontradas pelos profissionais de saúde durante o processo de notificação, abordagem familiar e captação de órgãos. Conclusão: os resultados sugerem a importância em implementar estratégias com o objetivo de atribuir mais valor social à doação, com maior sensibilização da população e profissionais de saúde mais capacitados para coordenar eficientemente o processo.
