Geotechnology applied in the identification of fire incidences in the municipality of São Félix do Xingu/PA

Resumo: The state of Pará has the highest deforestation rates in the North Region, although deforestation is relatively recent in the municipality of São Félix do Xingú, which has one of the highest deforestation rates in the Brazilian Amazon. In this study we aim to analyze, through geotechnologies, the spatial and temporal distribution of fires during two years in this municipality. The municipality showed a significant increase in fire scar alerts and consequently an increase in the extent of areas degraded by the action of fire. There was an increase in the occurrence of hotspots as there was a reduction in precipitation levels, being influenced by both anthropic and environmental factors. The highest concentration of hotspots is in APA Triunfo do Xingu. The use of data made available by public agencies associated with GIS resources allowed the identification of the location, shape and size of the area affected by fires in the municipality during the analyzed time interval, enabling its use in firefighting planning, mainly in regions of large territorial extension, providing efficiency and speed in preventing and fighting large-scale fires.

En este estudio pretendemos analizar, a través de geotecnologías, la distribución espacial y temporal de los incendios durante dos años en este municipio. El municipio mostró un aumento significativo en las alertas de cicatrices de incendios y, en consecuencia, un aumento en la extensión de las áreas degradadas por la acción del fuego. Hubo un aumento en la ocurrencia de hotspots a medida que hubo una reducción en los niveles de precipitación, influenciados tanto por factores antrópicos como ambientales. La mayor concentración de hotspots está en APA Triunfo do Xingu. El uso de datos puestos a disposición por organismos públicos asociados a los recursos SIG permitió identificar la ubicación, forma y tamaño del área afectada por incendios en el municipio durante el intervalo de tiempo analizado, posibilitando su uso en la planificación del combate de incendios, principalmente en regiones de gran extensión territorial, aportando eficacia y rapidez en la prevención y lucha contra incendios de gran magnitud.O estado do Pará apresenta as maiores taxas de desmatamento da Região Norte, apesar de o desmatamento ser relativamente recente no município de São Félix do Xingú, o mesmo apresenta uma das maiores taxas de desmatamento da Amazônia Brasileira. Neste estudo objetivamos analisar por meio de geotecnologias, a distribuição espacial e temporal de queimadas durante dois anos neste município. O município apresentou um aumento significativo de alertas de cicatrizes de queimadas e consequentemente um aumento na extensão de áreas degradadas pela ação do fogo. Houve um aumento na ocorrência dos focos de calor à medida que houve uma redução nos níveis de precipitação, sendo influenciados tanto por fatores antrópicos quanto ambientais. A maior concentração de focos de calor está na APA Triunfo do Xingu.
