Resumo: Objective: To survey the epidemiological profile of HVL from 2012 to 2020 in the city of Caruaru-PE. Methodology: Data were obtained from the Information System for Notification and Diseases. After this step, the data received statistical treatment, where graphs and tables were constructed using the excel @2010 software, which was used to perform the calculations to give greater precision to the results obtained. Results: 43 cases of HVL were confirmed. The highest incidence occurred in 2015 with 2.6%, the area of residence with the highest frequency was urban with 63%, the most affected age group was 1 to 4 years old with 32.6% and race /brown color presented 69.8% of the cases. Regarding the evolution of patients with HVL, 79.1% was related to cure. Conclusion: In view of the analyzed data, it is necessary that HVL control actions are intensified, the identification of cases happens in a timely manner, as well as the diagnosis and patient care.

Metodología: Los datos se obtuvieron del Sistema de Información de Notificación y Enfermedades. Luego de este paso, los datos recibieron tratamiento estadístico, donde se construyeron gráficos y tablas utilizando el software excel @2010, el cual se utilizó para realizar los cálculos para dar mayor precisión a los resultados obtenidos. Resultados: se confirmaron 43 casos de HVL. La mayor incidencia se presentó en el año 2015 con 2,6%, el área de residencia con mayor frecuencia fue urbana con 63%, el grupo etario más afectado fue de 1 a 4 años con 32,6% y la raza/color pardo presentó el 69,8% de la población. casos. En cuanto a la evolución de los pacientes con HVL, el 79,1% se relacionó con la curación. Conclusión: Ante los datos analizados, es necesario que se intensifiquen las acciones de control de HVL, la identificación de los casos ocurra de manera oportuna, así como el diagnóstico y la atención al paciente.Objetivo: Realizar o levantamento do perfil epidemiológico da LVH no período de 2012 a 2020 no município de Caruaru-PE. Metodologia: Os dados foram obtidos na base do Sistema de Informação de Notificação e Agravos. Após essa etapa, os dados receberam tratamento estatístico, onde foram construídos gráficos e tabelas por meio do software excel @2010, o mesmo foi usado para realização dos cálculos para dar maior precisão dos resultados obtidos. Resultados: Foram confirmados 43 casos de LVH. A maior incidência ocorreu no ano de 2015 com 2,6%, a área de residência que apresentou a maior frequência foi a urbana com 63%, a faixa etária mais acometida foi a de 1 a 4 anos com 32,6% e a raça/cor parda apresentou 69,8% dos casos.  No que se refere a evolução dos pacientes como LVH, 79,1% foi relacionado a cura.
