Environmental perception in the solid waste context

Resumo: | This article aimed to analize a environmental perception of the school community of a Federal Institute of Education Campus regarding the environmental problems arising from solid waste. In the research, questionnaires were used with closed and/or open questions. The sample consisted of 25% of teachers and 40% of students in the Technical Logistics Course; 45% of administrative technicians and 55% of outsourced. In research, Society appears as the main responsible for the environment and, for the most part, considers its responsibility in the disposal of the generated waste. The results also indicated that education, professional category and gender do not influence in a way that increases the individual’s perception. Although some means and medians. When analyzed separately, point to a slight increase in perception, this is not capable of guaranteeing, whit sufficient certainty, a structural pattern. It was also observed the relevance of such information to support the management, construction of indicators for monitoring, communication and evaluation of waste, and for the design of teaching materials. |

En la investigación se utilizaron cuestionarios con preguntas cerradas y / o abiertas. La muestra estuvo conformada por el 25% de los profesores y el 40% de los estudiantes del Curso Técnico en Logística; 45% de técnicos administrativos y 55% de subcontratados. En la encuesta, la sociedad aparece como la principal responsable del medio ambiente y, en su mayor parte, considera su responsabilidad en la disposición de los residuos generados. Los resultados también indicaron que la educación, la categoría profesional y el género no influyen de manera que aumente la percepción de los individuos. Si bien algunas medias y medianas, analizadas por separado, apuntan a um leve aumento da la percepción, ésta no es capaz de garantizar, com suficiente certeza, um patrón estructural. También se observó la relevancia de dicha información para apoyar la gestión, construcción de indicadores de seguimiento, comunicación y evaluación de residuos, y para el diseño de materiales didácticos.Este artigo teve como objetivo analisar a percepção da comunidade escolar de um Campus de Instituto Federal de Educação referente aos problemas ambientais decorrentes dos resíduos. Na pesquisa foram utilizados questionários com perguntas fechadas e/ou abertas. A amostra foi composta por 25% dos professores e 40% dos discentes do Curso Técnico de Logística; 45% dos técnicos administrativos e 55% dos terceirizados. Na pesquisa a sociedade aparece como a principal responsável pelo meio ambiente e, grande parte, considera sua responsabilidade no descarte dos resíduos gerados. Os resultados apontaram, ainda, que a escolaridade, categoria profissional e gênero não influenciam de forma a aumentar a percepção dos indivíduos. Embora, algumas médias e medianas quando analisadas isoladamente apontem para um ligeiro aumento na percepção, este não se apresenta capaz de garantir, com suficiente certeza, um padrão estrutural.
