Educational actions in social gerontology: The experience of the project “I want more health and you?”

Resumo: This work aimed to socialize the experience lived by a nursing student in an extension project focused on the health of the elderly. This academic extension is one of the pillars for university education, it has a sense of extreme importance in the process of social interaction with the community, especially for planning and executing health promotion and prevention actions. The students' relationship with extension projects has made them aware of the reality that surrounds them and how they need to be participatory. A descriptive study of the experience report type (RE) was designed, which according to the literature. The extension project that resulted in the writing of this report took place from February to December 2019 in the auditorium of a Higher Education Institution. This project was conceived by a group of nursing students, with a view to comprehensive health care for the elderly from the perspective of the Unified Health System (SUS). This project took place in three moments, reception, health education and finally spirituality. The present experience allowed the immersion of students in the health of the elderly, being able to work well on the quality of life and explore health education in different ways. In this way, it is expected that the practices experienced in this project will provide a differential in the training of students, enriching the quality of future health professionals and strengthening qualified assistance.

Esta extensión académica es uno de los pilares de la formación universitaria, tiene un sentido de extrema importancia en el proceso de interacción social con la comunidad, especialmente para la planificación y ejecución de acciones de promoción y prevención de la salud. La relación de los estudiantes con los proyectos de extensión les ha hecho tomar conciencia de la realidad que les rodea y de cómo necesitan ser participativos. Se diseñó un estudio descriptivo del tipo relato de experiencia (RE), que de acuerdo a la literatura. El proyecto de extensión que dio como resultado la redacción de este informe se llevó a cabo de febrero a diciembre de 2019 en el auditorio de una Institución de Educación Superior. Este proyecto fue concebido por un grupo de estudiantes de enfermería, con miras a la atención integral a la salud de los ancianos en la perspectiva del Sistema Único de Salud (SUS). Este proyecto se desarrolló en tres momentos, acogida, educación para la salud y finalmente espiritualidad. La presente experiencia permitió la inmersión de los estudiantes en la salud del anciano, pudiendo trabajar bien la calidad de vida y explorar la educación en salud de diferentes formas. De esta forma, se espera que las prácticas vividas en este proyecto aporten un diferencial en la formación de los estudiantes, enriqueciendo la calidad de los futuros profesionales de la salud y fortaleciendo la asistencia calificada.Esse trabalho teve como objetivo socializar a experiência vivenciada por um estudante de enfermagem em um projeto de extensão voltado para a saúde do idoso. Essa extensão acadêmica é um dos pilares para formação universitária, tem um sentido de extrema importância no processo de interação social junto à comunidade, especialmente para planejar e executar ações de promoção e prevenção a saúde. A relação dos estudantes com os projetos extensionistas o tem tornado consciente da realidade que o circunda e de como ele precisa ser participativo. Delineou-se um estudo descritivo do tipo relato de experiência (RE), que segundo a literatura. O projeto de extensão que resultou na redação deste relato aconteceu de fevereiro a dezembro de 2019 no auditório de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior. Esse projeto foi idealizado por um grupo de estudantes de enfermagem, com vistas a atenção integral à saúde do idoso na perspectiva do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Esse projeto ocorreu em três momentos, o acolhimento, a educação em saúde e por último a espiritualidade. A presente experiência permitiu a imersão dos estudantes na saúde do idoso, podendo trabalhar bem a qualidade de vida e explorar em diversas maneiras a educação em saúde.
