Humanistic education and Participatory Budget - Possible Application in Mirandela and Bragança Teaching Units

Resumo: The present study aimed to analyze the application of the Participatory School Budget (OPE) in two school units in Portugal, the Carvalhais Professional School of Agriculture in Mirandela and the Emídio Garcia School Grouping in Braganza, more precisely, the application of the OPE as a teaching tool within the precepts of humanistic education, omnilateral, based on classical authors of this pedagogy: Marx, Gramsci and Freire. In the context of the paradigm, qualitative, conducted a study of multiple case with the application of interviews semistructured one representative from each, with the objective of characterize your institution regarding the use of the OPE as an educational tool in the framework of humanistic education. It was observed that the OPE is a program of government of the country with the interest to be educational principle, however does not present humanistic bias in its application. Thus, it is expected that the OPE can be applied in an omnilateral bias to all students of the schools involved.

Thus, it is expected that the OPE can be applied in an omnilateral bias to all students of the schools involved.Este estudio tuvo el objetivo de analizar la aplicación del Presupuesto Participativo de las Escuelas (OPE) en dos unidades escolares en Portugal, la Escuela Profesional de Agricultura Carvalhais en Mirandela y la Agrupación de Escuelas Emídio García en Bragança, más precisamente, el aplicación de OPE como herramienta de enseñanza dentro de los preceptos de la educación humanista, basada en los autores clásicos de esta pedagogía: Marx, Gramsci y Freire. Dentro del paradigma cualitativo, se realizó un estudio de casos múltiples con entrevistas semiestructuradas aplicadas a un representante de cada escuela, con el objetivo de caracterizar a su institución sobre el uso de OPE como herramienta educativa en el marco de la educación humanista. Se observó que OPE es un programa de gobierno del país con el interés de ser principio educativo, sin embargo no presenta inclinación humanística en su aplicación. Por lo tanto, se espera que el OPE pueda aplicarse en un sesgo omnilateral a todos los estudiantes de las escuelas involucradas.O presente estudo teve o objetivo de analisar a aplicação do Orçamento Participativo das Escolas (OPE) em duas unidades escolares em Portugal, a Escola Profissional de Agricultura de Carvalhais, em Mirandela e o Agrupamento de Escolas Emídio Garcia, em Bragança, mais precisamente, a aplicação do OPE como ferramenta de ensino dentro dos preceitos de educação humanista, omnilateral, com base nos autores clássicos dessa pedagogia: Marx, Gramsci e Freire. No âmbito do paradigma qualitativo, realizou-se um estudo de casos múltiplos com aplicação de entrevistas semiestruturadas a um representante de cada escola, com o objetivo de caracterizarem a sua instituição quanto à utilização do OPE como ferramenta educativa no quadro da educação humanista. Observou-se que o OPE é um programa de governo do país com o interesse em ser princípio educativo, contudo não apresenta viés humanístico em sua aplicação.
