Resumo: | Ethnobotanical research works with traditional knowledge generated in communities from their experiences with the use of medicinal plants in order to preserved and reversed in improvements in the quality of life for contemporary society and for future generations. The present work investigate the knowledge that residents of the Settlement Santo Antônio da Fartura, Campo Verde-MT, have about medicinal plants. The research was carried out from August 2015 to July 2016. Data collection occurred through interviews, using a questionnaire, consisting of 35 open and closed questions. and a portable recording device was adopted. The target audience investigated consisted of a total of 25 informants, 98% of individuals surveyed said that they resort directly to the use of medicinal plants when they are sick, all of them reported knowing native species and most cultivate domestic medicinal species in the backyard. 138 species were surveyed, distributed in 51 botanical families. The three most representative plant families in the research were, respectively: Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae. The studied community uses a great diversity of plant species for medicinal purposes and has traditionality regarding the use of medicinal plants, considering that the family was the main vehicle for transferring this knowledge to the current generation. |

El objetivo de este trabajo fue investigar el conocimiento que tienen los probladores del asentamiento Santo Antônio da Fartura, em Campo Verde – MT, sobre las plantas medicinales. La encuesta se realizo entre agosto de 2015 y julio de 2016. Para la recolección de dados se utilizo um cuestionario compuesto por 35 preguntas abiertas y cerradas y uma grabadora portátil. El público investigado fue de 25 informantes, el 98% de los encuestados, manifestaron que recurren diretamente al uso de plantas medicinales cuando están enfermos. Todos declararon conocer espécies nativas y la mayoría cultiva espécies medicinales domésticas em su pátio trasero. Se relevaron 138 especies, distribuídas em 51 familias botânicas. Las três familias de plantas más representativas de la investigación fueron, respectivamente: Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae. La comunidade estudiada utiliza uma diversidade de espécies vegetales com fines medicinales y tiene uma tradición que la familia fue el principal vehículo para transmitir este conocimiento a la generación actual.A pesquisa de caráter etnobotânico trabalha com as experiências de utilização das plantas medicinais gerados nas comunidades para preservá-los e revertê-los em melhorias na qualidade de vida para a sociedade contemporânea e para as gerações futuras. Objetivou-se neste trabalho investigar o conhecimento que os moradores do Assentamento Santo Antônio da Fartura, município de Campo Verde-MT, acerca das plantas medicinais. A pesquisa foi executada entre agosto de 2015 a julho de 2016. Utilizou-se para a coleta de dados um questionário constituído por 35 questões abertas e fechadas e, ainda, um aparelho gravador portátil. O público investigado foi de 25 informantes, 98% desses indivíduos pesquisados, afirmaram que recorrem diretamente ao uso das plantas medicinais quando estão doentes. Todos declararam conhecer espécies nativas e a maioria cultivam espécies medicinais domésticas no quintal da casa. Foram levantadas 138 espécies, distribuídas em 51 famílias botânicas. As três famílias de plantas mais representativas na pesquisa foram, respectivamente: Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae.
