Evaluation of the pedagogical project of the chemical engineering course from IFNMG, Montes Claros campus (MG): a case study focused on curriculum analysis

Resumo: This work aimed to carry out a critical analysis of the pedagogical project of the Chemical Engineering course (PPC) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the North of Minas Gerais - IFNMG, Montes Claros campus, version 3. Such assessment had as guiding principles the theoretical orientation of the document, the course approach in relation to the teaching-research-extension, the existence of interdisciplinarity and/or trandisciplinarity and how legislation is used for curricular reflection. The results show that the PPC of the referred course consists of a document that was built based on the precepts of the Federal Constitution, the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education (LDBEN), the National Curriculum References of the Bachelor and Licentiate Courses and the Guidelines National Curriculum of Engineering Courses. The curricular matrix is ​​divided into disciplines that constitute cores, as recommended by the legislation. Several particulars of the course are listed in order to work the contents interdisciplinarily. However, transversal themes are not yet part of the analyzed curriculum proposal.

However, transversal themes are not yet part of the analyzed curriculum proposal.Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo realizar un análisis crítico del proyecto pedagógico del curso de Ingeniería Química (PPC) del Instituto Federal de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología del Norte de Minas Gerais - IFNMG, campus Montes Claros, versión 3. Dicha evaluación tuvo como principios rectores la orientación teórica del documento, el enfoque del curso en relación al trípode enseñanza-investigación-extensión, la existencia de interdisciplinariedad y / o transdisciplinariedad y cómo se utiliza la legislación para la reflexión curricular. Los resultados muestran que el PPC del referido curso consiste en un documento que fue construido en base a los preceptos de la Constitución Federal, la Ley de Directrices y Bases de la Educación Nacional (LDBEN), las Referencias Curriculares Nacionales de los Cursos de Licenciatura y Licenciatura y los Lineamientos Currículo Nacional de Cursos de Ingeniería. La matriz curricular se divide en disciplinas que constituyen núcleos, según lo recomendado por la legislación. Se enumeran varios detalles del curso para trabajar los contenidos de forma interdisciplinaria. Sin embargo, los temas transversales aún no forman parte de la propuesta curricular analizada.Este trabalho teve por objetivo efetuar uma análise crítica do projeto pedagógico do curso (PPC) de Engenharia Química do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Norte de Minas Gerais – IFNMG, versão 3 do campus Montes Claros. Tal avaliação teve como princípios balizadores a orientação teórica do documento, a abordagem do curso em relação ao tripé ensino-pesquisa-extensão, a existência de interdisciplinaridade e/ou trandisciplinaridade e como a legislação é utilizada para reflexão curricular. Os resultados evidenciam que o PPC do referido curso consiste em documento que foi construído balizando-se nos preceitos da Constituição Federal, na Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDBEN), nos Referenciais Curriculares Nacionais dos Cursos de Bacharelado e Licenciatura e nas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais dos Cursos de Engenharia. A matriz curricular está dividida em disciplinas que constituem núcleos, conforme preconiza a legislação. São elencadas diversas particularidades do curso de forma a se trabalhar os conteúdos interdisciplinarmente.
