Resumo: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the most common types of trauma in emergency services around the world, leading to impairment of cognitive and functional abilities, with the alteration of the gait pattern being detrimental to functionality and directly influencing the quality of life of affected patients. Gait training with the use of robotic assistance is an innovative and safe approach that uses intensive, repetitive and individualized practices to promote motor learning in patients. This study is a systematic review whose objective was to identify the effectiveness of gait training with robotic assistance in the rehabilitation of patients after traumatic brain injury. Robotic assistance is effective in the treatment of rehabilitation and gait recovery in post TBI patients, being an essential tool in gait recovery. The use of robots in human rehabilitation is an example of technological advancement and the benefits that technology provides in the treatment of numerous pathologies, providing positive results in the process of evolution and acquisition of gains in physical therapy. The mechanisms of robotics provide the execution of exercises in a controlled, effective and appropriate manner, being an essential factor for the improvement of motor skills.

The mechanisms of robotics provide the execution of exercises in a controlled, effective and appropriate manner, being an essential factor for the improvement of motor skills. Research, Society and Development2022-12-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3772510.33448/rsd-v11i16.37725Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 16; e115111637725Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 16; e115111637725Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 16; e1151116377252525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/37725/31463Copyright (c) 2022 Antonia Euliana Marques Costa; Sarah Pauliny Rodrigues Venção; Jordano Leite Cavalcante de Macêdohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCosta, Antonia Euliana Marques Venção, Sarah Pauliny RodriguesMacêdo, Jordano Leite Cavalcante de2022-12-18T18:26:42Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/37725Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:51:47.072103Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
