Resumo: The objective of this study was to understand how nursing students care for adolescents who experience the hospitalization process in the light of Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of Autonomy. Qualitative research, of the participative action type, based on the Research Itinerary of Paulo Freire through three stages: Thematic Investigation; Encoding and Decoding; Critical Unveiling developed in Virtual Culture Circles (CCV) with eleven academics from two Nursing courses from August to September 2020, having as inclusion criteria: having attended the Curriculum Component on Pediatrics and Hebiatrics and who are over 18 years of age , and exclusion: academics who were on leave for any reason. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee with human beings, opinion number: 4,865,968. Results: Two moments emerged: 1) limit situations that subsidized the CCV and 2) possibilities of care for hospitalized adolescents, which were subdivided into three thematic nuclei: Concept of adolescence from the (re)knowledge of oneself; (In)visibility of adolescents in health services and Differences between the stages of the human living process: childhood and adolescence. Conclusion: It was possible to perceive that the care of adolescents in the light of the Pedagogy of Autonomy can contribute to a unique care attentive to the needs of adolescents and assist in the training process of health professionals, especially nursing.

Investigación cualitativa, del tipo acción participativa, basada en el Itinerario de Investigación de Paulo Freire a través de tres etapas: Investigación Temática; codificación y decodificación; Revelación Crítica desarrollada en Círculos Virtuales de Cultura (CCV) con once académicos de dos carreras de Enfermería de agosto a septiembre de 2020, teniendo como criterio de inclusión: haber cursado el Componente Curricular de Pediatría y Hebiatría y ser mayor de 18 años, y de exclusión: académicos que estaban de baja por cualquier motivo. La investigación fue aprobada por el Comité de Ética con seres humanos, dictamen número: 4.865.968. Resultados: Surgieron dos momentos: 1) situaciones límite que subsidian las CCV y 2) posibilidades de atención a los adolescentes hospitalizados, los cuales fueron subdivididos en tres núcleos temáticos: Concepto de adolescencia desde el (re)conocimiento de sí mismo; (In)visibil6idad de los adolescentes en los servicios de salud y Diferencias entre las etapas del proceso de vivir humano: niñez y adolescencia. Conclusión: fue posible percibir que el cuidado de los adolescentes a la luz de la Pedagogía de la Autonomía puede contribuir para un cuidado único atento a las necesidades de los adolescentes y auxiliar en el proceso de formación de los profesionales de la salud, especialmente de enfermería.Objetivo deste estudo foi compreender como as acadêmicas de enfermagem cuidam do adolescente que vivencia o processo de hospitalização à luz da Pedagogia da Autonomia de Paulo Freire. Pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo ação participante, fundamentada no Itinerário de Pesquisa de Paulo Freire por meio de três etapas: Investigação Temática; Codificação e Descodificação; Desvelamento Crítico desenvolvidas em Círculos de Cultura Virtual (CCV) com onze acadêmicas de dois cursos de Enfermagem em agosto a setembro de 2021, tendo como critérios de inclusão: ter cursado o Componente Curricular sobre pediatria e hebiatria e que sejam maiores de 18 anos de idade, e exclusão: acadêmicas que estivessem de licença por quaisquer motivos. A pesquisa obteve aprovação no Comitê de ética com seres humanos parecer número: 4.865.968. Resultados: Emergiram dois momentos: 1) situações-limites que subsidiaram o CCV e 2) possibilidades de cuidado ao adolescente hospitalizado, destes foram subdivididos em três núcleos temáticos: Conceito sobre adolescência a partir do (re)conhecimento de si; (In)visibilidade do adolescente nos serviços de saúde e Diferenças entre as fases do processo de viver humano: a infância e a adolescência.
