Resumo: The National Program for Improving Access and Quality of Basic Care (PMAQ) is a program for managers to evaluate the pattern of quality by primary health care teams that investigate efficiency and effectiveness (EE) in implementation of Federal Government programs. Thus, this article goals is investigate if there are EE indicators in PMAQ on state of Piauí. To do that was necessary analyze the indices demonstrating for PMAQ and after that identify possible difficulties in the execution of yhe program in the state of Piauí. The methodological used for data balysis were descriptive and analytical with quantitative and qualitative approach. The article is based on the history and characterization of the PMAQ. Thus, it was evidenced thai in practice, the program has reasonably brought significant contributions tho the basic health units in the state of Piauí.

Thus, it was evidenced thai in practice, the program has reasonably brought significant contributions tho the basic health units in the state of Piauí.El Programa Nacional de Mejoramiento del Acceso y la Calidad de la Atención Primaria (PMAQ) es un programa dirigido a gerentes con el propósito de evaluar estándares de calidad a través de equipos de atención primaria de salud que investiga la eficiencia y efectividad (EE) en implementación de programas del Gobierno Federal. Ante esto, este artículo tiene como objetivo investigar si existen indicadores de EE del Programa Nacional para mejorar el acceso a la atención primaria de calidad en el estado de Piauí. Por tanto, fue necesario analizar los índices demostrativos del programa nacional para mejorar el acceso y la calidad de la atención primaria y posteriormente identificar posibles dificultades en la ejecución del programa en el estado de Piauí. Las rutas metodológicas elegidas para el análisis de datos fueron un estudio descriptivo y analítico con enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo. El contenido se basa en la historia y caracterización del programa. Así, se hizo evidente que en la práctica, el programa hizo contribuciones significativas a las unidades básicas de salud en el estado de Piauí.O programa nacional de melhoria do acesso e da qualidade da atenção básica (PMAQ) é um programa direcionado para gestores com a avaliação de padrões de qualidade por meio de equipes de Atenção básica à saúde que investiga a eficiência e eficácia (EE) na implantação dos programas do Governo Federal. Diante disto, o presente artigo objetiva investigar se há indicadores de EE do Programa nacional de melhoria do acesso da qualidade da atenção básica no estado do Piauí. Para tanto foi necessário analisar os índices demonstrativos do programa nacional de melhoria do acesso e da qualidade da atenção básica e identificar possíveis possíveis na execução do programa no estado do Piauí. Os caminhos metodológicos escolhidos para análise de dados para estudo descritivo e analítico com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. O conteúdo fundamentala-se na história e caracterização do programa.
