Nursing in the management of pain in newborns inborn in a neonatal intensive care unit

Resumo: | Introduction: Adequate pain management in the newborn is essential for quality care. Nurses and nursing technicians must have a satisfactory understanding to assess and provide the correct pain relief, through non-pharmacological measures according to the needs of each baby. General Objective: To describe the strategies of nursing teams for the identification, evaluation and interventions of pain in newborns admitted to Intensive Care Units. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review research published in December 2020, where the data were analyzed in the Microsoft Excel 2010 Program and arranged in simple and percentage frequencies. Results: The final sample of this integrative review, after systematic reading and application of the inclusion criteria, resulted in a total of 19 articles, it is expected that the results of this research can support nursing in pain management in newborns admitted to a nursing unit. neonatal intensive care. Discussion: The management of pain in newborns, in a scientific and standardized way, must be a constant in the clinical practice of health care workers in intensive care, so that the assistance offered is of excellence, safe and humanized. Final Remarks: At the end of this work it was concluded that the nurse who works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must have sufficient knowledge about the physiology, the psychological and cultural factors that can influence the pain of newborns in these units and especially the techniques evaluation and the therapy offered. |

Las enfermeras y técnicos de enfermería deben tener un conocimiento satisfactorio para evaluar y proporcionar el correcto alivio del dolor, a través de medidas no farmacológicas según las necesidades de cada bebé. Objetivo general: Describir las estrategias de los equipos de enfermería para la identificación, evaluación e intervención del dolor en recién nacidos ingresados en Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos. Metodología: Investigación de revisión integrativa de la literatura publicada en diciembre de 2020, donde los datos fueron analizados en el Programa Microsoft Excel 2010 y ordenados en frecuencias simples y porcentuales. Resultados: La muestra final de esta revisión integradora, luego de la lectura sistemática y aplicación de los criterios de inclusión, arrojó un total de 19 artículos, se espera que los resultados de esta investigación puedan subsidiar la enfermería en el manejo del dolor en recién nacidos ingresados en una unidad de enfermería. Cuidados intensivos neonatales. Discusión: El manejo del dolor en el recién nacido, de manera científica y estandarizada, debe ser una constante en la práctica clínica de los trabajadores de la salud en cuidados intensivos, para que la asistencia brindada sea de excelencia, segura y humanizada. Consideraciones finales: Al finalizar este trabajo se concluyó que el enfermero que labora en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales debe tener conocimientos suficientes sobre la fisiología, los factores psicológicos y culturales que pueden influir en el dolor de los recién nacidos en estas unidades y especialmente las técnicas evaluación y la terapia ofrecida.Introdução: O manejo adequado da dor no neonato é indispensável para uma assistência de qualidade. Os enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem devem possuir entendimento satisfatório para avaliar e proporcionar o correto alívio da dor, através de medidas não farmacológicas de acordo com as necessidades de cada bebê. Objetivo Geral: Descrever estratégias das equipes de enfermagem para a identificação, avaliação e intervenções da dor em recém-nascidos internados em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão integrativa de literatura publicada no mês dezembro 2020, onde os dados foram analisados no Programa Microsoft Excel 2010 e dispostos em frequências simples e percentuais. Resultados: A amostra final desta revisão integrativa, após a leitura sistemática e aplicação dos critérios de inclusão resultou num total de 19 artigos, espera- se que os resultados desta pesquisa possam subsidiar a enfermagem no manejo da dor em recém-nascidos internados em unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal. Discussão: O manejo da dor em recém-nascidos, de forma científica e padronizada, deve ser uma constante na prática clínica dos trabalhadores da saúde em cuidados intensivos, para que a assistência oferecida seja de excelência, segura e humanizada.
