Resumo: | Football is the most popular sport in the world, a practice that physically demands a lot from athletes due to its high level of intensity, number of games during the season, number of training sessions and little time for rest, requiring a specific strategy to align nutrition and the physical conditioning. In this way, the objective of this work was to analyze the importance of nutrition in the performance of the professional soccer player. The methodology used was a descriptive literary review with articles published from 2012 to 2023, research of articles was carried out in the databases of PUBMED (public/publisher), Google Scholar (Google Scholar) and Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online). Thus, it was observed that the consumption of nutrients such as carbohydrates (CHO), proteins (PTN) and lipids (LIP) aligned with hydration and, if necessary, supplementation, are fundamental for the positive results of the players and consequently for the club in general. This demonstrated the importance and need for the presence of a nutrition professional to achieve good results for the club and high performance for the players. It is concluded that from the presented data, it was verified that the soccer clubs need to introduce in the projects for the season of the team a Nutrition professional, acting in the performance of the players and in the prevention of injuries. |

De esta forma, el objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar la importancia de la nutrición en el rendimiento del futbolista profesional. La metodología utilizada fue una revisión literaria descriptiva con artículos publicados desde 2012 hasta 2023, la búsqueda de artículos se realizó en las bases de datos de PUBMED (public/publisher), Google Scholar (Google Scholar) y Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online). Así, se observó que el consumo de nutrientes como carbohidratos (CHO), proteínas (PTN) y lípidos (LIP) alineados con la hidratación y, en su caso, la suplementación, son fundamentales para los resultados positivos de los jugadores y consecuentemente del club. en general. Esto demostró la importancia y necesidad de la presencia de un profesional de la nutrición para lograr buenos resultados en el club y un alto rendimiento de los jugadores. Se concluye que a partir de los datos presentados, se verificó que los clubes de fútbol necesitan introducir en los proyectos para la temporada del equipo un profesional de Nutrición, actuando en el desempeño de los jugadores y en la prevención de lesiones.O futebol é o esporte mais popular do mundo, prática que exige muito dos atletas fisicamente devido seu alto nível de intensidade, quantidade de jogos durante a temporada, quantidade de treinos e pouco tempo para descanso, sendo necessário uma estratégia específica para alinhar a nutrição e o condicionamento físico. Desta forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a importância da nutrição no desempenho do atleta profissional de futebol. A metodologia utilizada foi uma revisão literária descritiva com artigos publicados de 2012 a 2023, pesquisa de artigos foi feita nas bases de dados da PUBMED (público/editora), Google Acadêmico (Google Scholar) e Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online). Assim, observou-se que o consumo dos nutrientes como carboidratos (CHO), proteínas (PTN) e lipídeos (LIP) alinhados com hidratação e, se necessário, suplementação, são fundamentais para resultados positivos dos jogadores e consequentemente para o clube em geral. O que demonstrou a importância e necessidade da presença do profissional da nutrição para alcançar bons resultados do clube e alta performance dos jogadores.
