Resumo: This work aims to understand the importance of preparing for the Mathematics Olympiads in elementary schools, as well as the benefits generated by teaching mathematics through problem solving techniques. To reinforce our theory about the preparation for the Olympics, we did a case study in a school in the metropolitan region of Belém do Pará and, also, the cataloging in dissertations with similar works, thus reinforcing the characteristics developed with the teaching focused on the preparation for the Olympics. the Mathematical Olympiads.

Para reforzar nuestra teoría sobre la preparación para las Olimpiadas, hicimos un estudio de caso en una escuela de la región metropolitana de Belém do Pará y, también, la catalogación en disertaciones con trabajos similares, reforzando así las características desarrolladas con la enseñanza enfocada en la preparación para los Juegos Olímpicos Las Olimpiadas Matemáticas.Este trabalho visa entender a importância de uma preparação para as Olimpíadas de Matemática em escolas de ensino básico, bem como os benefícios gerados pelo ensino da matemática por meio de técnicas para a resolução de problemas.
