Development evaluation of alface Vanda in relation to the use of chemical fertilizer and organic compost

Resumo: The horticulture is very used in the familiar agriculture in the Brazil, Para state, in which the main part of production is used for family consumption. The lettuce more cultivated is Vanda (Lactuca sativa L.) and the family use own labor. The main objective this paper was evaluable the development of lettuce cv Vanda cultivated in beds with organic compounds and chemistry fertilization (NPK). The radicular system, plant height and production of mass fresh were evaluated. The best results in relation of roots development were in the lettuce cultivated with organic compound in the proportion of 5 kg/m2 due it characteristics as a soil conditioner. The better results in relation fresh mass production and height of plant were obtained with use of chemistry fertilization (NPK), in which this result was obtained mainly by addiction of 10 g/m2 of the extra nitrogen as cover fertilizer. Statistical analyzes showed that difference between height of plant cultivated with chemistry fertilizer and organic compound were similar. In relation of roots development the difference was statistically significant.

La lechuga cultivar Vanda (Lactuca sativa L.) representa una parte significativa de esa producción, que prioriza el uso de mano de obra interna. El principal objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar el desarrollo de la lechuga cv Vanda cultivada en canteros utilizando compuesto orgánico (compostaje) y fertilización química (NPK). Los criterios considerados para evaluar ese desempeño fueron: desarrollo del sistema radicular, altura de las plantas y producción de masa fresca total. Las mejores medias en relación al desarrollo de las raíces se dieron en las parcelas cultivadas con compuesto orgánico en la proporción de 5 Kg / m², debido a sus características como fertilizante y acondicionador de suelos. El cultivo con el uso de NPK proporcionó las mejores medias en relación a la producción de masa fresca total y altura de las plantas, resultados atribuidos principalmente al suministro extra de nitrógeno en la fertilización de cobertura, que constó en la adición de 10g de urea / m² vía suelo . El análisis estadístico mostró que no hay diferencia estadísticamente significativa en relación a la altura de la planta para ambos tratamientos. Y en relación al desarrollo de raíces la diferencia fue estadísticamente significativa.A horticultura é uma atividade amplamente difundida na agricultura familiar na região da Transamazônica – Pará, com ênfase na produção voltada para o consumo da própria família. A alface cultivar Vanda (Lactuca sativa L.) representa parte significativa dessa produção, que prioriza o uso de mão de obra interna. O principal objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desenvolvimento da alface cv Vanda cultivada em canteiros utilizando composto orgânico (compostagem) e adubação química (NPK). Os critérios considerados para avaliar esse desempenho foram: desenvolvimento do sistema radicular, altura das plantas e produção de massa fresca total. As melhores médias em relação ao desenvolvimento das raízes se deu nas parcelas cultivadas com composto orgânico na proporção de 5 Kg/m², devido suas características como fertilizante e condicionador de solos. O cultivo com o uso de NPK proporcionou as melhores médias em relação à produção de massa fresca total e altura das plantas, resultados esses atribuídos principalmente ao fornecimento extra de nitrogênio na adubação de cobertura, que constou na adição de 10g de Uréia/m² via solo. Análise estatística mostrou que não há diferença estatisticamente significativa em relação à altura da planta para ambos tratamentos.
