Resumo: | Technology is the set of scientific knowledge and principles that apply to the planning, construction and use of equipment that allows user interaction with an educational program contributing to learning. The objective of the present study is to approach through a literature review the current aspects of the use of virtual technologies in the construction of teaching and learning in the health area. The computer is a tool that promotes interaction, provides students with moments of concentration on a task, and because they are fully involved, students take pleasure in what they are doing and develop the educational process for learning. The growing use of technology is allowing the population to access services and data, regardless of their physical location. Teaching-learning is always in development, especially with changes in globalization, through the creation of new technological inventions that contribute to learning in dental practice. Education is linked to technology, with knowledge and handling of technological resources of fundamental importance for the process of knowledge development, teaching and learning. |

El objetivo de este estudio es abordar, a través de una revisión de la literatura, los aspectos actuales del uso de tecnologías virtuales en la construcción de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje en el área de la salud. La computadora es una herramienta que promueve la interacción, brinda a los estudiantes momentos de concentración en una tarea y, debido a que están completamente involucrados, los estudiantes se complacen con lo que están haciendo y desarrollan el proceso educativo para el aprendizaje. El creciente uso de la tecnología está permitiendo que la población acceda a servicios y datos, independientemente de su ubicación física. La enseñanza-aprendizaje está siempre en desarrollo, especialmente con los cambios de la globalización, a través de la creación de nuevos inventos tecnológicos que contribuyan al aprendizaje en la práctica odontológica. La educación está vinculada a la tecnología, y el conocimiento y manejo de los recursos tecnológicos es de fundamental importancia para el proceso de desarrollo del conocimiento, enseñanza y aprendizaje.A tecnologia é o conjunto de conhecimentos e princípios científicos que se aplicam ao planejamento, à construção e a utilização de um equipamento que permite uma interação do usuário com um programa educacional contribuindo na aprendizagem. O objetivo do presente estudo é abordar através de uma revisão da literatura os aspectos atuais do uso das tecnologias virtuais na construção do ensino e aprendizagem na área da saúde. O computador é uma ferramenta que promove a interação, proporciona aos alunos momentos de concentração em uma tarefa, e por estarem totalmente envolvidos, os alunos têm prazer no que estão fazendo e desenvolvem o processo educacional para o aprendizado. O uso crescente da tecnologia está permitindo a população ao acesso de serviços e dados, independente de sua localização física. O ensino-aprendizado está sempre em desenvolvimento, principalmente com as mudanças na globalização, através da criação de novas invenções tecnológicas que contribuem para o aprendizado na prática odontológica. A educação está ligada a tecnologia, sendo de fundamental importância o conhecimento e manuseio dos recursos tecnológicos, para o processo de desenvolvimento do conhecimento, ensino e aprendizagem.
