3D little hands extension project - Extension experience and its contribution to health education

Resumo: | Introduction: Assistive technology are devices, resources and processes that promote a significant improvement in the quality of life of people with disabilities. Due to the high values of prostheses and orthoses, additive manufacturing appears, which promotes prosthetic parts that fulfill their functions; promote functionality, and also facilitating access to these parts, since they are cheaper. Objective: to demonstrate through an experience report, the experiences carried out by a group of academics in the creation of low-cost orthotic devices, with the use of 3D technology within an extension project. Methodology: The present research is characterized as a descriptive research with characteristics of experience report. Results and discussions: the experiences that this project provided were important in the process of academic and professional training of extension workers, since there was contact in the production and construction of prosthetic parts, application of protocols, learning in specialized evaluation and knowledge about the 3D printer. Conclusion: The experiences of the 3D little hands project contributed significantly to successful experiences, which may open new ideas and new projects to help other people who need a foundation in the creation of similar projects in other regions. |

Debido a los altos valores de las prótesis y órtesis, aparece la fabricación aditiva, que promueve las piezas protésicas que cumplen sus funciones; promueve la funcionalidad y también facilita el acceso a estas partes, ya que son más baratas. Objetivo: demostrar a través de un informe de experiencia, las experiencias llevadas a cabo por un grupo de académicos en la creación de dispositivos ortopédicos de bajo costo, con el uso de tecnología 3D dentro de un proyecto de extensión. Metodología: La presente investigación se caracteriza por ser una investigación descriptiva con características del informe de experiencia. Resultados y debates: las experiencias que brindó este proyecto fueron importantes en el proceso de capacitación académica y profesional de los extensionistas, ya que hubo contacto en la producción y construcción de piezas protésicas, aplicación de protocolos, aprendizaje en evaluación especializada y conocimiento sobre la impresora 3D. Conclusión: Las experiencias del proyecto de pequeñas manos 3D contribuyeron significativamente a experiencias exitosas, que pueden abrir nuevas ideas y nuevos proyectos para ayudar a otras personas que necesitan una base en la creación de proyectos similares en otras regiones.Introdução: A tecnologia assistiva são dispositivos, recursos e processos que promovem uma significativa melhora na qualidade de vida de pessoas com deficiência. Mediante os altos valores de próteses e órteses, surge a manufatura aditiva, que promove peças protéticas que cumprem com suas funções; promover funcionalidade, e ainda facilitando o acesso a essas peças, visto que são mais baratas. Objetivo: demonstrar através de um relato de experiência, as vivencias realizadas por um grupo de acadêmicos na criação de dispositivos ortóticos de baixo custo, com a utilização de tecnologia 3D dentro de um projeto de extensão. Metodologia: A presente pesquisa é caracterizada como uma pesquisa descritiva com características de relato de experiência. Resultados e discussões: as experiências que esse projeto proporcionou foram importantes no processo de formação acadêmica e profissional dos extensionistas, visto que houve contato na produção e construção de peças protéticas, aplicação de protocolos, aprendizado na avaliação especializada e conhecimento acerca da impressora 3D.
