Resumo: This text aims to investigate the challenges faced by teachers at Franklin Távora High School (Itapiúna-CE) in relation to inclusive education. For that, a qualitative research was carried out, contemplating the case study, analyzing the way inclusive education is understood in high school, from the perspective of the teachers. As a strategy to approach reality, a questionnaire was used with the teachers of that school. The study made it possible to verify that there is a gap in teacher education, when related to inclusive education. The concern with the specific training of Inclusive Education teachers, who are living with the practice of school inclusion, has become the main challenge among many others that directly affect the inclusion of students with disabilities in Secondary Education in the city of Itapiuna-CE . More studies, research and pedagogical support are needed so that inclusive education will gain greater prominence in the local scenario, since the potential of students is not limited to a disability.

Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa, contemplando el estudio de caso, analizando la forma en que se entiende la educación inclusiva en la escuela secundaria, desde la perspectiva de los docentes. Como estrategia para abordar la realidad, se utilizó un cuestionario con los maestros de esa escuela. El estudio permitió verificar que existe una brecha en la formación docente, cuando se relaciona con la educación inclusiva. La preocupación por la formación específica de los docentes de Educación Inclusiva, que viven con la práctica de la inclusión escolar, se ha convertido en el principal desafío entre muchos otros que afectan directamente la inclusión de estudiantes con discapacidad en la Educación Secundaria en la ciudad de Itapiúna-CE . Se necesitan más estudios, investigación, apoyo pedagógico para que la educación inclusiva gane mayor importancia en el escenario local, ya que el potencial de los estudiantes no se limita a una discapacidad.Este texto objetiva investigar os desafios encontrados pelos professores da Escola de Ensino Médio Franklin Távora (Itapiúna-CE) em relação à educação inclusiva. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, contemplando o estudo de caso, analisando-se a forma como é compreendida a educação inclusiva no Ensino Médio, sob a ótica dos docentes. Como estratégia de aproximação à realidade, utilizou-se de um questionário com os professores da referida escola. A realização do estudo possibilitou constatar que há uma lacuna na formação docente, quando relacionada à educação inclusiva. A preocupação com a formação específica dos professores da Educação Inclusiva, os quais estão convivendo com a prática da inclusão escolar, tem se tornado o principal desafio dentre muitos outros que afetam diretamente a inserção de alunos com deficiência no Ensino Médio no município de Itapiúna-CE.
