Use of the radio frequency identification system in stock management in the automotive sector

Resumo: | The objective of this article was to evaluate the benefits of implementing radio frequency identification technology (RFID - Radio Frequency Identification) in a large company in the automotive sector, aiming at its impact on the agility and effectiveness of administrative processes, quality and Lean Manufacturing. The RFID system has the function of pointing and tracking the item in stock in order to streamline the process through automation and accessibility, allowing the visualization of what entered, left and is in stock in real time. In this way it was possible to verify if there is an increase in the efficiency of the process both in the insertion of the material in the system, as well as in facilitating the traceability of the same in the virtual stock. With these procedures, time was optimized with physical inventories to avoid problems with errors of not performing a systematic write-off of inputs in actively registered stock, but physically absent or divergent quantities in the relation of input, processes and output of metal plates and priority items in the scales and levels of significance of the ABC curve in the production of chassis for buses, trucks and agricultural wheels. |

El sistema RFID tiene la función de apuntar y rastrear el artículo en stock para agilizar el proceso a través de la automatización y la accesibilidad, permitiendo la visualización de lo que ingresó, salió y está en stock en tiempo real. De esta manera, fue posible verificar si hay un aumento en la eficiencia del proceso tanto en la inserción del material en el sistema, como en facilitar la trazabilidad del mismo en el stock virtual. Con estos procedimientos, se optimizó el tiempo con inventarios físicos para evitar problemas con errores de no realizar una amortización sistemática de insumos en existencias registradas activamente, pero cantidades físicamente ausentes o divergentes en la relación de insumos, procesos y salidas de placas de metal y Elementos prioritarios en las escalas y niveles de importancia de la curva ABC en la producción de chasis para autobuses, camiones y ruedas agrícolas.O objetivo do presente artigo foi avaliar os benefícios da implantação da tecnologia de identificação por radio frequência (RFID – Radio Frequency Identification) numa empresa de grande porte do setor automotivo visando seu impacto na agilidade e eficácia dos processos administrativos, qualidade e no Lean Manufacturing. O sistema RFID tem a função de realizar o apontamento e rastreabilidade do item no estoque com a finalidade de agilizar o processo por meio da automatização e acessibilidade, permitindo a visualização do que entrou, saiu e está no estoque em tempo real. Desta forma foi possível verificar se há um aumento na eficácia do processo tanto na inserção do material no sistema, bem como na facilitação da rastreabilidade dos mesmos no estoque virtual.
