Food pyramid: pedagogical practice aimed at promoting healthy eating

Resumo: | Health promotion is considered an important strategy for the dissemination of healthy habits, as they promote an improvement in the population's quality of life, thus avoiding exposure to conditioning factors for certain diseases. Given this, the work aimed to collaborate with the pedagogical practice based on the critical-reflexive conception and the active participation of the students, focusing on the promotion of healthy eating. The practice was applied to an 8th grade elementary school class from a state school in Arapiraca, AL, in which it was divided into three moments. After applying the questionnaire, a lecture on the constitution and classification of foods and practical activities related to healthy eating and food pyramid was offered. The results of the work were satisfactory, as most students actively participated in the activities and in a very interesting way. It could be inferred from the application of this activity that the 8th grade students, to whom the practice was directed, could understand about the constitution of foods and what are the food groups that make up the food pyramid. The application of practical activities was very important to sensitize students to obtain good eating habits, so as to have a healthier life. |

Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue colaborar con la práctica pedagógica basada en una concepción crítico-reflexiva y en la participación activa de los estudiantes, con foco en la promoción de una alimentación saludable. La práctica se aplicó en una clase de 8º grado de la Enseñanza Básica II de un colegio público de la ciudad de Arapiraca, AL, en la que se dividió en tres momentos. Tras la aplicación del cuestionario, se ofreció una charla sobre la constitución y clasificación de los alimentos y actividades prácticas relacionadas con la alimentación saludable y la pirámide alimentaria. Los resultados del trabajo fueron satisfactorios, ya que la mayoría de los estudiantes participaron activamente en las actividades y de manera muy interesada. Se pudo inferir, a través de la aplicación de esta actividad, que los estudiantes de la clase de 8vo grado, para quienes fue dirigida la práctica, pudieron comprender sobre la constitución de los alimentos y cuáles son los grupos de alimentos que componen la pirámide alimenticia. La aplicación de actividades prácticas fue muy importante para sensibilizar a los estudiantes a adquirir buenos hábitos alimentarios, para tener una vida más saludable.A promoção da saúde é considerada uma estratégia importante para a divulgação de hábitos saudáveis, pois promovem uma melhoria na qualidade de vida da população, evitando assim que se exponham a fatores condicionantes a determinadas doenças. Diante disso, o trabalho teve como objetivo colaborar com a prática pedagógica fundamentada na concepção crítica-reflexiva e na participação ativa dos alunos, com o foco na promoção de uma alimentação saudável. A prática foi aplicada em uma turma do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental II de uma escola da rede estadual de ensino no município de Arapiraca, AL, na qual foi dividida em três momentos. Após a aplicação do questionário, foi oferecida uma palestra sobre a constituição e classificação dos alimentos e atividades práticas relacionadas à alimentação saudável e à pirâmide alimentar. Os resultados do trabalho mostraram-se satisfatórios, pois a maioria dos alunos participou ativamente das atividades e de uma forma bastante interessada. Pôde-se inferir, através da aplicação dessa atividade, que os alunos da turma do 8º ano, para os quais a prática foi direcionada, puderam compreender sobre a constituição dos alimentos e quais são os grupos alimentares que compõem a pirâmide alimentar.
